Theory Four concepts of learning: –
• Drive: Wanting something Stimulus that energizes behavior –The
stronger the stimulus, the stronger the drive Internal, external,
primary, and secondary –Primary drives at the building blocks of
personality –All acquired (secondary) drives ultimately depend on
primary drives.
• Cues: Noticing Something Guides behavior Determine when we will
respond, where we will respond, and which response we will make.
• Response : Doing something, Response is an answer to given drive
or cues. Perception ,attitudes.
• Reinforcement : it is the strengthening of cue- response relationship
and is directly related to the degree of satisfaction the response
brings to the original drive.
5. Hygiene factors:
Hygiene factors are needed to ensure that an
employee does not become dissatisfied. They do not cause higher
levels of motivation, but without them there is dissatisfaction.

,Interpersonal Relations Job Company Policies and Administration
Company.
Motivation factors:
Motivation factors are needed in order to
motivate an employee into higher performance . These factors result
from internal generators in employees. Achievement , Recognition of
Achievement, Responsibility for tasks, Interesting job, Advancement
to higher level task, Growth

• Id: Unconscious energy that drives us to satisfy basic sexual and
aggressive drives. Id operates on the pleasure principle, demanding
immediate gratification.
• Ego: Reality principle Reality principle Mediator between id and

• Superego : Morality principle Morality principle Conscience Ego
ideal: Moral ideal for a behavior to which a person should strive
