Fleet Management Department operates Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels of various sizes up to
180 T Bollard Pull, PSV’s of sizes up to 4500 DWT and Harbor Tugs. (Total 23 assets)
This function involves Operation & Management the vessels in cost effective & profitable manner.
Beyond Management of Group Vessels, I have been Involved in following type of projects.
1) Take over Second Hand vessels. Modify/upgrade them to make them suitable for specific Charter.
2) Retrofitting of Dynamic Positioning systems on various vessels.
3) Modify Deep Sea Anchor Handling Vessels for enhancing the Chain Carrying Capacity.
4) Replacement of Anchor Handling Winches on vessel specific to charter requirement.
5) Implement charter specific HSE programs on the vessels.
6) Modify/Convert Heavy Lift vessel to Propelled 250 SPS Personnel Accommodation Vessel with 300 T
Crane. Make her compliant to requirements of Saudi Aramco.
Current Responsibilities:
Responsible for Technical & Operational matters of the vessels under my charge.
Ensure profitable & efficient operation of the vessels.
Prepare yearly budgets for each vessel and operate the vessels within allocated budgets.
Plan and evaluate work for dry dock and attend vessels during Dry-Docking.
Co-ordinate with Charterers towards requirements, complaints and services.
Undertake projects for up-gradation of the vessels. (As per Charterers requirements)
Plan and co-ordinate with Classification Society and D.G. Shipping towards statutory requirements.
Coordinate and supervise for Dry-Docking, Modifications, Repairs of vessels.
Implement and monitor Planned Maintenance & Quality System on Vessels.
Inspect and prepare vessels for Chartering.
During my Shore Based Career, I have operated vessels in India (ONGC, GSPC, CAIRN Energy, BG,
ESSAR ), Malaysia ( Murphy Oil, PETRONAS ), Saudi Arabia (Saudi Aramco ), South Africa & Namibia
( Petro SA ), Russia ( KNOC ), Indonesia (BG), Brazil(Petrobras)
