3. Colours: The bright, vibrant colours included in my style sheet make for some enticing images. Therefore, the inclusion of
such colours would likely attract a wider array of people into viewing the commercial, which in turn would persuade audiences
to consume/buy the product. Furthermore, the different uses of colours has a phycological impact on people, meaning vibrant
colours are more likely to have a positive affect on people, whereas dull and dingy colours causes the opposite affect.
Therefore, making a commercial vibrant throughout is more likely to intrigue people, as it makes them believe that the product
is of high quality, due to the pristine colours used within it; Such as vibrant whites and yellows, which are usually associated
with cleanliness. However, due to my FMP being a mockery of modern day commercials, my use of vibrancy will be used
elsewhere rather than as a measure of cleanliness; but rather used to ironic effect, such as shoddy editing used to make
something completely revolting look marginally clean.
Images: The multitude of images I have collected are mainly examples of other commercials, which have all influenced me
in some way when creating my FMP. Each one has the main spokesman and or mascot, signalling to their product as a means
to try and promote it, or more likely force it upon people in any way possible. Furthermore, each spokesman looks extremely
enthralled and energetic in what they’re doing and from this, I can interpret that it gives the viewers positive assurance that
the product is extremely efficient, even if they know full well that they’re being paid to act in this way; the audience still wants
to feel just as convinced and ecstatic about the product as they are. On top of this, the inclusion of hazardous related images
such as the hazmat suit and many chemical warning symbols, have been implemented as my product is a mockery of such
commercials and therefore I thought it would be a hilarious idea to make the cleaning fluid extremely dangerous, which
viewers will pick up on as soon as the commercial starts to run.
Fonts: The Fonts which have been demonstrated all relate to the product in a plethora of ways, some due to the name of
the product and others from what the product achieves and or represents. For example, the “Old English” font associates with
the name of the product (Excalispray), with it being a play on word of the famed sword Excalibur, which only the worthy could
wield. This font is associated with said sword, due to the era in which it was used, with incredible fables coming from that time
of wizards and knights fighting off against wicked creatures, therefore I thought it would be a perfectly suitable idea for my
product, only this time it’s a spray bottle used to battle against different types of evil (germs). The bolder fonts have been
included, because many people are enticed by products which have clear and vivid logos which can be easily depicted and
understood by everyone. Furthermore, thick, bold and heavy fonts are perceived as powerful and therefore one can presume
by looking at my product, that what they are purchasing is reliable and will conquer any task it faces. Finally the bubblier fonts
associate with cleanliness and freshness, which are selling points of any cleaning related product and therefore an observant
consumer will quickly understand what they are purchasing, simply based off the font alone. On top of that bubbly fonts are
generally perceived as friendly and harmless, which consumers are intrigued by because they want their living space to be a
safe environment from germs and similar bacteria.

11. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Loss of valuable video footage and or written
work; through a virus, file corruption, losing
physical hard copy, losing usb stick.
Backup work on multiple platforms; via email to
myself and or tutor, save to usb, save to external
hard-drive, save on multiple desktops.
I may happen to work on a computer which isn’t
installed with the software I need to edit.
Simply move to a different computer, which does
have the software I require.
I may make a stupid mistake whilst editing my
video footage.
Continuously save work whilst editing to make
sure that its still salvageable, or use the step
backwards command to revert the error.
The computer could crash due to the amount of
software being used to work on.
Always save work multiple times in multiple
locations, e.g. send it to yourself.
Having absentees whilst filming your production,
of which are really important to get your work
done.
Always plan in advance when filming with a
group of people, as to make sure everything and
everyone will be there when the day comes.
Some images may not be accessible when editing
in photoshop.
Create the images using the software provided, it
may take longer but you can create it to your
exact specifications.
12. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Spillage of drinks and or food on the computer,
which in turn damages both the computer and
corrupts your work.
Drink and eat away from the computer as to avoid
this incident from ever occurring, or if it does happen
always remember to save your work on multiple
platforms before hand so its still salvageable later.
Eye strain may occur from looking at a computer
screen for far too long.
Take a break away from the screen once in a while,
or it could lead to serious sight problems.
Back strain is a possible injury from sitting down on a
chair for a long period of time.
Stand up, stretch and get some much needed
mobility (walk or exercise) or those back pains could
cause permanent damage.
Hands could possibly begin to ache in pain from
typing up documents for too long.
Take a break away from the key board and stretch
your hands now and again, otherwise arthritis could
be a constant bother in later life.
Camera equipment could be easily damaged from a
small distance drop to the floor.
Make sure to take extra care when handling such
expensive equipment or simply wear a strap around
your neck to prevent it from being dropped. Most
cameras come with one already provided in the case.
Someone could be actually hurt during the filming
process of my commercial.
Take extra caution when working with a group of
people and make sure everyone is aware of what's
happening in the scene before it takes place, as to
not stress people out; E.g. when smashing glass.
