My 5 year plan for the future

1. 5 year plan
I hope to achieve a distinction bythe end of level 3 in the year 2021. This
level of achievement will broaden my varietyof opportunities forlater
educational purposes,ifI find myself wanting to go to universityas to
further develop my skills in areas I’m interested in.
My plans after college consist of implementingmyselfin the field of film
and television as soon as possible, even if that means starting from a non-
payingposition,with the valuable richness ofexperience in which to gain
being my soul reason for being there.This will allowme to nestle my way
into the industry and hopefully,overa period of time I’ll be given more
responsibilityand take on a plethora of skills which will in turn be put to
use in an array of areas,allowingme to impress the more crucial
members on set and possiblybe given the opportunityto havemore of
an imperativerole on set, of which I might even be paid for.
This is all well and good on paper,to say that I’m going to get a pivotal
role in the industryjust like that,however I’m aware of several people in
said industry who’ve managed to find themselves in that position
followingthe method I wish to trace. Through these contacts,I can hope
to gain valuable experience as an unpaid intern/runner.This process from
runner, to a paid member of the crew can take upwards ofthree years to
achieve and therefore to give myself that edge on others just like me, I
have to aim to push my limits and do more than what is expected of me
as a measly intern.
On the other hand,a universitydegree based around this sectorwould
also likelyenhance my employabilitychances.Yet at the same time, I
believeone who wishes to work in this field is better off just getting stuck
in and learningon the job,rather than attainingmasses of debt and then
findinga low payingjob to pay it off over a period of years.
Aside from that,I hope to achievesome form of accolade duringmy
career and that’s not to say I’m going to achievethose feats in the next 5
years, although Iwouldn’t be reluctant to do so if the opportunity
presents itself.
