• Started in 1901 by William Harley ,
Walter & Arthur Davidson.
• Engineered
• HD was available from 1903 onwards
• In 1904 HD opened its 1st dealership in Chicago
• New factory in 1906 in Chestnut St. (Juneau Ave)
• 1907 William Davidson joined the journey & the company was
incorporated
• HD was sold to a Detroit PD for Police duty (stream for large
revenue generation)

in desert warfare

• In 1935, the Japanese ‘Sankyo Company’ started their country’s
motorcycle industry called the ‘Rikuo motorcycle‘ (result)
