Mrs. Samar Al-Amad has extensive experience in the higher education field with concentration on educational
management, course coordination, student registration, curriculum development, student academic performance,
accreditation and policies implementation.
As a present Academic Advisor at the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in Washington D.C, she is providing effective
academic support to the Mission towards Saudi Students who are on full scholarship from the Saudi Arabian
Government to pursue their academic study in the U.S.
Furthermore and as a Graduate Education Manager at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology
http://www.masdar.ac.ae/ (which is the world’s first graduate-level university dedicated to providing real-world
solutions to issues of sustainability), she has provided effective support to the institute towards graduate student
affairs, academic curriculum, teaching faculty and strategic planning. In addition, she took the lead on all regional
and international accreditation issues.
In addition, Mrs. Samar Al-Amad has a broad experience in institutional effectiveness, accreditation, quality
assurance, strategic planning, academic curricula review, policy making, on-line learning technologies, statistical
information and course evaluation.
Mrs. Samar Al-Amad earned her MSc in Operation Research and Management Science from George Mason
University.
