The Path to Product Excellence: Avoiding Common Pitfalls and Enhancing Commun...
Evaluation question 7
1.
2. To begin with when we first found out about our main
task and what it consisted of I realized that it would be
difficult to complete and that it would be a challenge but
the end product that we would be making sounded very
interesting. To begin with I started working in a group
with Ed Amson after a while though we both came to the
conclusion that it was not working as a group and that
we wouldn’t have finished the product if we carried on.
So we spoke to another group (Callum and Joe) and
they said that we could join there group meaning that we
could have more people to talk about ideas with, also
Joe and Callum had a lot more experience than me as I
have not done media at gcse level. This change helped
a lot as it meant that we could now split the work up and
get a lot more done between us it also meant that as
they new how to work all the programs and equipment I
could learn from the how to do it.
3. Throughout the process of
making the product this year I
have learnt a lot about using the
editing programs and all about
the filming process in general.
Meaning that I now know how to
use the lighting equipment, the
camera and all sorts of other
equipment.
4. To begin with it seemed like we were
doing an awful lot of research and I
couldn’t understand the reason. Now
though that we have finished making
our product I understand why had to do
this research. It helped a lot with
accomplishing to connect with our target
audience and creating our thriller as a
thriller in itself and so that it didn’t turn
into a horror film as we were creating it.
I also understood a lot more about the
way the filming industry worked and
how certain stereotypes and antistereotypes help to create an
atmosphere for the viewer.
5. If I was to do the project again I believe
that would work by myself because I
believe I will work better like this as it
means that I will be able to put forward
my own ideas completely and not have to
settle with others idea as that is what
happens when you work in a group. I
would also make sure that I put a lot
more effort into reaching deadlines and
handing in my work on time as I realised
that this was a problem that occurred
multiple time this year. I would also focus
more on the lighting and focus of the
camera as I believe that a few of our
shots could have been better but
because of time pressure we could not re
film the project.
