3. “Our traditional PC’s create and store data ,which
can’t be accessed by computers outside the
network,as document is PC-centric.
With cloud computing, software programs one
use aren’t run from one’s personal computer,but
rather stored on server accessed via the Internet
as well as ensure the security and robustness of
data.

4. Cloud Computing
-the flew age of computing......
In cloud computing the word “cloud” is used as
metaphor for “the internet”,so the phrases cloud
computing means
a type of internet based computing .

5. What is Cloud Computing?
◍Cloud computing is a type of computing that relies on
sharing computing resources rather than having local
servers or personal devices to handle applications.
◍A type of internet based computing- where different
services such as servers, storage and applications are
delivered to an organisation’s computers through the
Internet.

7. Computer Architecture
Individual Users connect to the cloud
from their own personal computers or
portable devices
over the internet.
To these individual users,
the cloud is seen as a single
application,device,or document.
The hardware in the cloud(and the
operating system that manages the
hardware connections) is invisible.
Cloud Servers

8. Cloud Services Models
There are mainly 3 services models given as:
SAAS
IAAS
PAAS
Allow users to run application and store data online.

10. Defined as service on
demand,
Where a provider will license
software tailored.
Examples:Google
Apps,Microsoft Office 365,
Marketo,TradeCard.
SAAS
In SAAS model,
Cloud providers install and
operate application software
in the cloud and cloud users
access software from cloud
clients.

11. Rapid development at
low cost.
Examples:Live
Services,MicroSoft.NET
Services,MicroSoft SQL
Services,force.com.
PAAS
In PAAS model,
Private or public
deployment.
Limits developers to
provider language and
tools.

12. In most basic cloud
service model,
Providers of IAAS offer
computers physical or virtual
machines and others
resources.
Examples:Amazon
EC2,Azure Services
Platform,Google Compute
Engine,Relia Cloud,HP
cloud,Joyent.
IAAS
Additional resources such
as, Virtual machine disk
image library , raw and file
based storage,firewalls, IP
addresses, VLANs.

13. Cloud Storage
Cloud Storage means “the storage of data online in
the cloud.”wherein a company’s data is stored in and
accessible from multiple distributed and connected
resources that comprises a cloud.
Cloud storage can provide the benefits of greater
accessiblity and reliablity,rapid deployment;strong
protection for data backup, archival and disastory
recovery.

14. Types of Cloud Storage
PUBLICHYBRIDPRIVATE
A cloud computing
model in which a
third party provider
makes compute
resources available to
the general public
over the internet .
With public cloud ,
enterprises do not
have to set up and
maintain their own
cloud servers in
house.
A cloud computing
model that includes a
mix of on
premises,private cloud
and third party public
cloud services with
orchestration between
the two platforms.
A cloud
computing
model uses a
proprietary
architecture and
runs cloud
servers within its
own data center.

18. Disadvantages
◍Require constant internet connections.
◍Does not work well with low speed connections.
◍Features must be limited.
◍Can be slow.
◍Stored data might not be secure.
◍Stored data can be loss.
Saleha Mariyam 17
19. Conclusion
◍Thus cloud computing provide a super computing power.
◍This cloud of computers extends beyond a single company
or enterprise.
◍The application and data served by the cloud are available to
broad group of users, cross enterprise and cross platform.
