Shri Kh. Chinglen Singh - Founder - Self Employment Voluntary Association (SEVA), Imphal, Manipur, presents the work of this organisation in various activities of socio-economic development in Manipur across agriculture, micro-credit, SHGs, etc.
2. SEVA HISTORY
Self Employment Voluntary Association (SEVA) Manipur is a non
governmental Organisation. It is a voluntary organisation dedicated to the
cause of bringing about a positive change in the society towards inclusive
growth and overall development through peoples participation.
The association was established on 12th January, 1991 by a group of
social workers and was formally registered under the Manipur Societies
Registration Act on 13th February,1991.
Though the association was established on 12th
January, 1991 and involved
in various social development programmes and activities, with a very
small portfolio and with reference to resolution(s) adopted during
Executive Committee Meeting held in 2007, the association started its
own Micro Finance activity at some parts of the capital city of Imphal in
2009. From 2009 onwards the association was successful in expanding its
MF operation within Six districts of Manipur- Imphal West, Imphal East &
Bishnupur district, Thoubal ,Chandel , Churachandpur & Senapati districts
3. Income Generation Activity
Fish Vendor at the famous “Ima Market” of Traditional Loinloom weaving of traditional
Manipur tribal clothes.
A beneficiary in the process of making traditional An active client in her shop of apparels
sitting stool called “Morah” locally.
4. Livelihood Activity
A proud client during business dealing at Making of Pickles

5. Educational Loan
Launching function of BPL Education Loan Bright students receiving educational loan
directly from the dignitories of the launching

BPL Educational Loan being disbursed by the Disbursement of Education Loan to a
President of SEVA, Manipur. Max. of 2 students per 1 borrowers.
11. Distribution of Farmer Loyalty Card
Farmers Loyalty Card (Smart Card)
@ Rs.200/- only per farmer from the
A.I.C
Smart Card on Credit basis also are made
available to the farmers.
Till October, 2016 a total of 259 cards has
been issued.
