2. Introduction
Teach For Green is a social enterprise working towards “Green
Energy, Environment awareness and Entrepreneurship
Development” by Do-It Yourself hands on activities.

DIY approach that encourages renewable energy and energy

Our Mission is to nurture imagination, instill curiosity, incept
innovation, and bolster confidence in youth & community by bringing
DIY hands on green energy workshops, curriculum, and advocacy for
peer to peer learning, awareness & entrepreneurship development
across India.
3. • Our conventional energy sources like coal , oils and gases are going to end in
next few years.
• 1 liter of Kerosene and Diesel emits 2.41kg and 2.67 kg of CO2 respectively.
• Saving 1 unit of electricity will save 756 Kg of coal.(The Guardian, 1000567,

• To facilitate a mass movement of students, providing green energy
solutions to schools of both urban and rural India.

10. • Teach For Green conducts Green Energy Workshop centered around
DIY approach to achieve its purpose. These workshops could either be
of short duration (1-2 days) or of Long Duration (1-2 weeks),
depending on the availability of resources and other necessary
constraints.

Development
• Teach For Green aims to provide entrepreneurship and skill development training
to rural and urban youth & women.
• Fundamental understanding of nature and scientific laws, electric circuits and
components, specifications and uses.
• Understanding and creating awareness about green energy by small system such
as lamp, toy car, mobile charger to provide a solid basis to better grasp of
instructions for larger grid assembly, repair and maintenance
15. Entrepreneurship Development
• Develop to add up a new kind of feature in skilled artisan-cum-
technicians by getting the knowledge to design, construct and repair solar
lamps.
• Design and developing his own customized solar lamp products for
customer and per market requirements, generating income and
sustaining independent livelihoods.
16. • The main aim of this program is to create impact over school students as there is a
significant lack in teaching facilities for science, energy and environment.
• We have developed a 45 weeks module on activity based learning which we
conduct one day in a week with schools.

• Teach For Green aims to create over all focus on students with giving them
a chance to understand reality about environment and green energy
scenario such that a rational mindset can be developed among them.
18. Youth Innovation Centre
• We are running youth innovation center for children from nearby
rural areas and for underprivileged community.
• In village schools, the problem of infrastructure & quality of
education is a big obstruction for the growth and development.
• At our centers, either after or before school timings, students come
and engage in different kinds of activity based learning which they
are not getting in their schools and household premises, like science
practicals, computer, soft skills, games, music.
19. Green Energy Consultancy
• Teach For Green aims to provide consultation and support to individuals,
institutions and organizations for various issues pertaining to Solar
Energy, Solar Plant set up, Solar smart grid and other Green Energy
related problems.
20. Journey So Far
• We have conducted 15 green energy workshops with 450 students in 9 different
states both government & private schools.
• Kids eagerly participated in these workshops and came out with numerous designs
of their own.
21. Journey So Far
• We have conducted green energy entrepreneurship development workshop
with 60 rural youths.
• 10 youths have started their own enterprises on solar at the village level.
• We are running school support program with 10 government schools in Delhi.
• We are running one youth innovation center at Nehura Village, Palamau,
Jharkhand.
23. Our Campaign-A Kit for Kid
• There are villages and hamlets which are still un-electrified, such as reserved
forest, hilly areas and tribal villages of UP, Odisha and MP where grid electricity
can’t be reached.
• In Community, especially kids & women are suffer the most as they have to study
& work during evening time when there is no electricity available.
• We want to conduct workshops in these areas with kids so they will get to know
about solar & have lamps for their study and household works.
• So any person can sponsor a kit for at least one kid so he will be able to get proper
lighting for study.
