Whenever a major tremor occurs, expect one or more aftershocks,
including the possibility of numerous major earthquakes in the same
area.
During the Quake:
Duck, cover and hold in place under a desk, table or other
sturdy object; or stand in an interior doorway and brace
yourself against the frame.
Face away from any windows.
Stay clear of tall objects that may topple over and watch for
falling objects.
Stay inside, do not evacuate unless directed to do so.

After the initial shock:
Remain calm and be prepared for aftershocks.
Aid the injured and check for trapped people. Account for all
occupants.
Check area for obvious hazards and damage; evacuate only if
area is unsafe.
Use phones only in case of immediate life-threatening

Do not light matches, cigarettes, candles or any use of open
flame.
Do not turn on or off any electrical equipment or lighting.
Listen for emergency evacuations announcement.
Report conditions to the Security Command Center at ext.

If You See Something Say Something
Los Angeles Convention Center and AEG has teamed up with the
United States Department of Homeland Security on the ‘If You See
Something, Say Something’ campaign. The campaign is a simple and
effective program to engage the public and key frontline employees to
identify and report indicators of terrorism, crime and other threats to
the proper transportation and law enforcement authorities.

Checking in on Venue:
• You are required to check in at the LACC Workforce Check in when you arrive for
your shift!

Meals:
• Volunteers working a minimum of 5 hours will receive one meal voucher at
check-in.

for your venue.

51. WORKFORCE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
- There is no storage for personal belongings at the World Games. Please do
not bring:
- Large bags
- Valuables
- Children
- Pets (service animals are accepted)
- Please do not use your cellphone for personal use while you are on duty.
Some manager positions will have cellphones to conduct business.
- Please do not alter your uniform or credential in any way.
- Lost items should be turned into the Spectator Services Information Booth at
the venue where the item was found.
- If you are notified that an athlete is lost, please notify your supervisor
immediately. Your supervisor will collect pertinent information about the
individual and will radio the Hub Communication Center. If you have found a
lost athlete, please bring them to the nearest Spectator Services Information
Booth.
52. WORKFORCE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
- If someone approaches you and you do not speak their language, please direct
them to the Spectator Information Booth to ask for language assistance.
- When you don't know an answer, don't make something up, say you 'don't know
but will find out', then ask your Supervisor or someone else who may know.
- Please do not to take pictures of or get autographs from any celebrities or
public figures while on duty.
- Volunteers should not speak to the media other than a greeting. If approached
by a member of the media for comment, please refer the media member to the
Venue Media Manager or a Media Steward.
- If you need to fill out an incident form or a complaint form, please go to
Workforce Check In. Examples of when you should fill out an incident form are:
- Injury, safety hazard, property damage, theft etc
- Make sure to inform your supervisor of an incident
- Please abide by the Volunteer Code of Conduct found in your Hero Handbook.

Highlander “Cell Phone Valet”
• As a courtesy to guests, we would offer a secure cell phone charging valet service. Much like a “coat check”,
guest can check their cell phone in with a brand ambassador to place in a locked compartment to charge
while they are enjoying the games.
• Guests who would like to wait, will also be able to charge their phones from inside the vehicle from the
center console charging block
