Abstract
A network design has to be developed for a bank. The bank has a main
office , which has many sections server room, call-center department,
accounts department, head office, manager room, credit office The bank
has an application server, which is used by it’s customers across the
world for online transactions. All the departments have high speed
internet connection. There are approximately 50 users in each of the
department and 200 users in the main office.
Topology
We used Ring, Star and Mesh topology.
RING Topology:
A ring topology is a network configuration where device connections
create a circular data path. Each
networked device is connected to two others, like points on a circle.
Together, devices in a ring
topology are referred to as a ring network.
In a ring network, packets of data travel from one device to the next
until they reach their destination.
Most ring topology allow packets to travel only in one direction, called a
unidirectional ring network.
Others permit data to move in either direction, called bidirectional.
STAR Topology:
star topology is one of the most common network setups. In this
configuration, every node connects to
a central network device, like a hub, switch, or computer. The central
network device acts as
a server and the peripheral devices act as clients.
MESH Topology:
A mesh topology is a network setup where each computer and network
device is interconnected with
one another. This topology setup allows for most transmissions to be
distributed even if one of the
connections goes down. It is a topology commonly used for wireless
networks.
Objectives & Goals
 It provides support to various applications of banking
 This Network will let various users of the bank and their
employees connect to the main Server.
 The objective only authorized user to access Network including all
servers and network devices.
 Provide greater speed & reduce time consumption.
 It provides 99.99% of uptime of Network.
 The Network will be user-friendly so that even a beginner can
troubleshoot any issue easily.
Network Requirements
1.The hardware components required to setup the network for the Bank
2.High availability should be available to the application server, which is
accessible using https protocol.
3.The application server should be setup in a secure manner with network
and host level protection.
4.All traffic into the application server should be scanned for security
attacks.
5.IP network design for the main offices.
6.IP addressing range for users and hardware components.
7.The users at different locations should be able to access each other,
including the application server.
9.Network Topology diagram.
Used Components
The Hardware used for developing this Network entitled Banking
Network Design is as follows:-
End Device:
 46 PC (Generic)
 8 Printer (Printer-PT)
 1 Laptop (Laptop-PT)
 7 Smart Phone
Connecting Device:
 5 Router (1841)
 22 Switch
 3 Server
 Home Gateway
Others:
 7 CC Camera
 7 Auto Door
 8 AC
Connections:
 DC Connection
Logical Design :
Physical Design

Future Scope
There is a vast future scope of this Network. This Design can be
improved and can be used by various banks. If the limitations present in
this Design are removed then, this Network will become very reliable and
provide 100% uptime.
We can easily implement any changes to the Network Design as we are
using the latest protocol in our network which is having attributes to
easily divert or control the flow of data. The server can be more secure by
using own cloud.
Limitations
 We will not be able to resolve issues from any of the following by
using this Network:
 Any unreported/ undetected Bugs in standard software’s, or
tools
 Any changes in Application Software features
 Older versions are incompatible with current features
 Lease line uptime depends on a particular Service Provider.
 This Network is limited by the state of technology and
functionality of software tools or products deployed.
 Security can be implemented in a better way.
Conclusion
In this project we implement DHCP, DNS & HTTP webserver for a bank
network system. Here while designing we also make sure that if anyone
want to expand this network , he can do it easily and without any trouble.
If one’s want to add new department he can do it without falling to any
kind of problem. Not only this but also can add end device in the network
easily. Here we try to make all server working perfectly with every field
without any error.

Project Contents Abstract Objectives & Goals Network requirements Used Components Logical Diagram Physical Network design Implementation of DNS Implementation of WEB SERVER Limitations Future Scope Conclusion Assemble Dissemble Abstract A network design has to be developed for a bank. The bank has a main office , which has many sections server room, call-center department, accounts department, head office, manager room, credit office The bank has an application server, which is used by it’s customers across the world for online transactions. All the departments have high speed internet connection. There are approximately 50 users in each of the department and 200 users in the main office. Topology We used Ring, Star and Mesh topology. RING Topology: A ring topology is a network configuration where device connections create a circular data path. Each networked device is connected to two others, like points on a circle. Together, devices in a ring topology are referred to as a ring network. In a ring network, packets of data travel from one device to the next until they reach their destination.
  • 4. Most ring topology allow packets to travel only in one direction, called a unidirectional ring network. Others permit data to move in either direction, called bidirectional. STAR Topology: star topology is one of the most common network setups. In this configuration, every node connects to a central network device, like a hub, switch, or computer. The central network device acts as a server and the peripheral devices act as clients. MESH Topology: A mesh topology is a network setup where each computer and network device is interconnected with one another. This topology setup allows for most transmissions to be distributed even if one of the connections goes down. It is a topology commonly used for wireless networks. Objectives & Goals  It provides support to various applications of banking  This Network will let various users of the bank and their employees connect to the main Server.  The objective only authorized user to access Network including all servers and network devices.  Provide greater speed & reduce time consumption.  It provides 99.99% of uptime of Network.  The Network will be user-friendly so that even a beginner can troubleshoot any issue easily.
  • 5. Network Requirements 1.The hardware components required to setup the network for the Bank 2.High availability should be available to the application server, which is accessible using https protocol. 3.The application server should be setup in a secure manner with network and host level protection. 4.All traffic into the application server should be scanned for security attacks. 5.IP network design for the main offices. 6.IP addressing range for users and hardware components. 7.The users at different locations should be able to access each other, including the application server. 9.Network Topology diagram. Used Components The Hardware used for developing this Network entitled Banking Network Design is as follows:- End Device:  46 PC (Generic)  8 Printer (Printer-PT)  1 Laptop (Laptop-PT)  7 Smart Phone Connecting Device:  5 Router (1841)  22 Switch  3 Server  Home Gateway Others:  7 CC Camera  7 Auto Door  8 AC
  • 6. Connections:  DC Connection Logical Design : Physical Design
  • 8. Future Scope There is a vast future scope of this Network. This Design can be improved and can be used by various banks. If the limitations present in this Design are removed then, this Network will become very reliable and provide 100% uptime. We can easily implement any changes to the Network Design as we are using the latest protocol in our network which is having attributes to easily divert or control the flow of data. The server can be more secure by using own cloud. Limitations  We will not be able to resolve issues from any of the following by using this Network:  Any unreported/ undetected Bugs in standard software’s, or tools  Any changes in Application Software features  Older versions are incompatible with current features  Lease line uptime depends on a particular Service Provider.  This Network is limited by the state of technology and functionality of software tools or products deployed.  Security can be implemented in a better way. Conclusion In this project we implement DHCP, DNS & HTTP webserver for a bank network system. Here while designing we also make sure that if anyone want to expand this network , he can do it easily and without any trouble. If one’s want to add new department he can do it without falling to any kind of problem. Not only this but also can add end device in the network easily. Here we try to make all server working perfectly with every field without any error.
