Kevin Ward grew up
in London. A major
football fan, he
spent his early years
attending football
matches and travelling throughout
Europe following his favourite team
and experiencing first-hand what
some of Europe’s top stadiums have
to offer. A passion was transformed
into a profession and today Kevin
Ward runs one of the most successful
sports and events companies in
Ireland and the UK.
A solid grounding in the sport and
event industry stood to Kevin as he
had a clear vision of how his brand
and superior offering would be
differentiated in the marketplace.
Champions Travel was born in 2011 in
the midst of the economic tsunami
– an enterprise targeting disposable
spend at a time when that spend
was being emaciated. However the
Champions Travel model was different
– it sought to partner with the top
Football Clubs and venues in England
and in Europe and negotiating the
best packages for their customers.

with three new match break providers, who will
bring fans from the UK and beyond closer to
Anfield. Match breaks are on sale now through

foundation in 1905. Built in a huge oval
shape, the stadium has undergone

he Champions Travel Online API allows you to
request data from our systems for use on your
own site. With the API you can retrieve data in
either XML or JSON format and make an order
using HTML post. To use the API requires some
programming knowledge. Although you may use any
server side or client side scripting to interact with the API,
the code examples provided use PHP.
ASP.NET examples are also available on request.
SETTING UP API ACCESS
Access to the API is provided by Champions Travel and
is not available by default. In order to use the API you
must be assigned a unique customer key. This you must
then use in all API queries. If you wish to use the API or
ordering you must also be assigned a password to use.
Please contact the Champions Travel office for a key and
a password.
BENEFITS
API access allows for content to be created once and
automatically published or made available to many
channels. Champions Travel inventory content is ready
for easy sharing and redistribution.
APIs can be used to distribute services and information
to new audiences and in specific contexts that can be
customized to provide tailored user experiences.
APIs allow machines to handle the workload, which would
otherwise require the manual work of a staff. This can be
