This lesson plan is for an English class focusing on the past continuous tense. It includes 5 stages (routine, warm up, presentation, development, closure) and 12 activities. Students will read a story about a murder in Springfield and identify activities people were doing in the past continuous tense. They will complete exercises practicing forming sentences in the past continuous and answering questions. Pedagogical use of ICT in class: Students will read a short story about
a murder of Mr. Burns in Springfield in a power point presentation
from my computer.

Students are used to listening to their teacher speaking in Spanish
during the whole lesson. They do not speak in English. I will speak
English during the whole class so if they do not understand, I will use
body gestures, facial expressions, miming, and modeling to aid
comprehension.
