as a means of teaching math fundamentals in the 1960’s
He believed in the abstract nature of learning
therefore, learning needs to be scaffolded by the
use of effective representations and
manipulatives.
Proposed the idea of spiral curriculum and felt that
teachers/teachers should encourage the learners
participation through exploration and inquiry.
