feeelings and ideas, and that the
success or failure of a person can
be linked in the way he or she
communicates.

4.  The term research is defined as
the scientific investigation of
phenomena which includes
collection, presentation, analysis
and interpretation of facts that
links an individual’s speculation
with reality.

5.  In other words, research is the
research study of trends or events
which involves careful collection,
presentation, analysis and
interpretation of quantitative data or
facts that relates man’s thinking with

adjusting products and services.
Without research, it is pretty sure that
a business cannot endure in the fast
changing world.

9. IN SCHOOLS…
 Administrators benefit in research
by finding out the effects of an
implemented curriculum,
approaches in teaching, or
factors in learning. Researches
allow them to improve
educational practice.

10. FOR STUDENTS…
 Students benefit in research as well.
The end-beneficiaries of all academic
researches are the students. If
schools improve and practices
updated because of research, the
most that will benefit are the students.

11. IN MEDICAL PRACTICE…
 The importance of research
cannot be emphasized. Imagine a
world full of sick people without
any medicine to cure them?
Research provides breakthroughs
in the field of medicine.

12. IN SOCIETY…
 Research brings benefits to the industry,
community, and society at large. Without
research, there can be no progress. As
a research expert once said, “research
is an indispensable tool to national
development, and if we may add, to
global advancement.”

13. Several characteristics may be attributed
to a good research. Some of them are as
follows:
1. The title must be clearly stated and the words used in
the title must be defined well.
2. It must not be biased, but rather, must be objective
especially in the analysis, conclusion, and
recommendation.
3. The dependent and the independent variables must
be clearly stated.
4. It must be interesting and timely.
5. The findings must be backed up by ample data and
evidences.
6. The statement of the problem must be clearly stated.

14. VARIOUS SOURCES CLASSIFY
RESEARCH DIFFERENTLY:
▪ HISTORICAL RESEARCH
involves studying, understanding and
explaining past events. It is envisioned to
asses past meaning and the message of
the past happenings or occurrences that
may help to explain present events and
anticipate future ones.

15.  DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH
it describes what it is. It involves
description, recording, analysis, and
interpretation of the present nature,
composition or processes of
phenomena. It often involve some time
of comparison or contrast (Calderon
&Gonzales, 1993; Magsajo-Sarno,
2012)

16.  EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH
it is a method or a procedure
involving the control or manipulations of
conditions for the purpose of studying the
relative effects of various treatments
applied to the members of sample, or of
the same treatment applied to members of
different samples.

17.  BUSINESS RESEARCH
business research is a field of
practical study in which a company obtains
and analyzes it in order to better manage
the company. Business research can
include financial data, consumer feedback,
product research and can include
competitive analysis.
