3. UNIQUE
ANIMALS
Many animals exist only in Cuba.
Solenodon is an almost extinct
mammal that looks like a rat. It has
small eyes, a long tail, and a flexible
snout that it uses to find insects to
eat.
The smallest frog in the world was
discovered in Cuba in 1993. Another
rare animal is the small painted
snail.
The green and blue Cuban parrot
was almost extinct, but is now
protected and returns.
The red, white and blue tocororo,
whose colors coincide with the
Cuban flag, it is the national bird of
Cuba.
4. EDUCATION
Education is free in cuba at
levels, from preschool to
collage. The goverment
also provides school
supplies and meals.
Cuba has a very high level
of literacy and most and
cubans are highly
educated

Cuba is a communist country.
Communist states own all property
and businesses and set a prices and
pay.

which is a combination of the

However, Christmas was made
a holiday again in 2007 when
the pope visited Cuba and
Cubans were granted more
religious freedom.
