Recommendation Letter for Mr. Rob Ransome (‘Mr. Ransome’)
Dear Sir/ Madam
I trust that you are well.
I am a lecturer in Marketing at the University of Cape Town.
Mr. Ransome was a student in my Digital Marketing (“E-Marketing”) course from July – November
2015. The course focused on best practices for marketing online, including media platforms such as
wearable technology, Snapchat and apps. A key focus of the course was on managing consumer
perceptions and word-of-mouth online about a brand in real-time and during a reputation crisis.
It was a true pleasure having Mr. Ransome in class. He is a hard-working, strong-minded, confident,
polite and mature person who showed consistent dedication and enthusiasm. Mr. Ransome is a quick-
learner with an easy-going, friendly demeanour which makes him a valuable team player. I enjoyed the
thought-provoking questions posed by Mr. Ransome in class and the interesting answers which he often
gave to the questions that I posed to the class.
Mr. Ransome, in my opinion, is both book-smart and street-smart, which is complemented by his caring,
light-hearted nature and positive outlook on life. What stands out about him is that he believes in
himself while maintaining a humble character. It is therefore my pleasure to recommend Mr. Ransome
as an asset to your company, and specifically a conscientious working professional who would be a
trustworthy, fun, and kind colleague.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Ms. Raeesah Chohan
