THE SPARKS FOUNDATION

THE NEED –
 A Marketing Plan is one of the most important business tools for any company to utilize.
 A business firm has to make various marketing decisions. These decisions actually emerge from
the complex interaction of a large number of persons carrying out diverse responsibilities in the
marketing organization.
 Being part and parcel of the over-all management, the marketing executives are deeply involved
in the process of planning.
 It lays emphasis on the allocation of marketing resources in the best and most economical way.
 It gives an intelligent direction of marketing operations.
 Marketing planning involves the preparation of policies, programmes, budgets etc., in advance
for carrying out the various activities and functions of marketing to attain the marketing goals.
Why is Marketing plan required?
THE PLAN -
Keeping things simple here.
Before putting our brains into building of a marketing plan, Identification of one’s business is a must.
About The Sparks Foundation –
CHARITY, SOCIAL WORK & VOLUNTEERING - EDUCATION & TRAINING
 What it does: The Sparks Foundation helps students through a ‘knowledge sharing concept for
equal learning opportunities.
 Vision: A world of enabled and connected little minds, building future.
 Mission: To inspire students, help them innovate, and let them integrate to build the next
generation of humankind.
 The good bits: The non-profit organization values a person’s expertise and skills more than
their academic background. This makes it easier for freshers to join the group regardless of
their degrees.

#1 TARGET MARKET -
Given the current state of the economy, having a well-defined target market is more important than ever. No one
can afford to target everyone. Small businesses can effectively compete with large companies by targeting a niche
market.
Now, who’ll be our Target Market ?
The prospective Students we can say. But
“prospective students” is a broad term, if we do
break it down we can say that all
undergraduate and graduate students, part-
time students, international students, transfer
students, and other audience segments can be
our target audience or the target market.
With platforms
like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. We can
promote our business and engage with audiences on a more
personal basis.
Since now we have figured out our target audience, next
step should be to target the platform where our targeted
audience will be available and in maximum numbers.
And, It’s a no brainer that Social Media is one of that
platform!

#3 ACQUISITION MARKETING
With any marketing strategy, our goal is to attract and retain customers. However, each type of marketing
focuses on a specific stage of the buyer's journey. Acquisition marketing focuses on the attract and convert
phases to turn strangers into sales-qualified leads.
What differentiates it from other marketing types is that it extends beyond the marketing team, often
involving collaboration with customer service and success teams.
Why? Because satisfied customers are the biggest promoters.
#4 MEME MARKETING
In my opinion, this could turn out to be one of the most productive marketing technique for the organization.
Looking at our target audience we are very well aware of the fact that where they(targeted audience) used to
spend their maximum time? On consuming MEMES right ? Memes are so powerful that no individual wanna skip
a meme without understanding the meaning of it.

 Memes are cheap to create. There is a certain homespun charm to internet memes. ...
 Memes can be a powerful brand marketing medium. You can also create meme-able content yourself. ...
 Memes can show a human side to your company. ...
 Memes generate instant feedback.

in the meme. :P
#5 SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING
Last but not the least-
 Search engine marketing, or SEM, includes all strategies used to ensure your business is visible on search
engine results pages (SERPs). With SEM, we can get our business in the number one spot when a user searches
a particular keyword.
Students who are not used to giving interviews or don’t really like to face camera in order to selected
for internships to gain knowledge and experience, they desperately search for a facility like THE SPARKS
FOUNDATION provides. SEO, which is a type of SEM will lead us to reach such Student’s search results.
