already know, while some are still
waiting to be discovered. It is our
responsibility to discover and nurture
our talents.

6. Summer Fun
Genevieve is one the most
talented pupils in school. She always
wins awards. She acts, sings, dances,
and paints. She likes performing in
front of an audience.
She attends summer workshops to
enhance her skills and talents.
7. Genevieve has a classmate. Her
name is Mary. One summer,
Genevieve was planning to enroll in an
acting class. She was so excited. Then
her mother told her that she would
only be allowed to enroll if she
brought someone along from her
class.
8. Genevieve immediately
thought of Mary. Mary was quiet
and shy. Genevieve had always
wanted to invite Mary to her acting
workshops to help to overcome
her shyness but she never had the
opportunity.
9. It was hard to convince Mary
to come, but she eventually
agreed. Genevieve and her mom
asked the permission of Mary’s
parents and they happily agreed.
10. The workshop went better than
they expected. Both girls enjoyed the
experience, especially Mary. Their
mentor helped Mary overcome her
shyness. She discovered that she
enjoys acting. She can now confidently
deliver lines from a play and recite
poems in front of the class.
11. Mary is very thankful to
Genevieve for helping her
develop her potential. She now
looks forward to attending the
next summer workshop with
Genevieve.
