DEDICATION
11. HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
After the liberation of the Philippines from the invading force of the
Japanese Imperial Army, the filipinos who evacuated to escape the
alrocities of the Japanese forces returned to their homes.
One day, a seventy five (75) year old man named Luiz Macepio
went to sitio “KIMMALLUGONG” in the eastern part of the municipality
to pasture his carabaos. The skies were cloudy and because he was tired
and hungry, he rester under an arosip tree and ate his lunch. He lie
down and fell asleep. While he was asleep, it rained heavily followed by
flashes of lightning and rearing thunder. He was so frightened. He woke
up and tried to get his rain gear made of anahaw leaf and because he was
very much frightened and he became unconcious. In his vision, Luis saw
a beautiful white lady in long white gown and in her waist has a belt with
red, white and yellow laces helding a symbol of liberty in her right hand.

When Luis regained conciousness, he slowly opened his eyes annd
behold standing beside him was enchanted beautiful lady. She smiled at
him and instructed him in vernacular. “AMA AGAWID KAN KET
IPADAMAG MO TI NAMATMATAM KANIAC. IBAGAM KADAGITI
BUMARIO NGA IYARAMIDAN DAK ITI PAGNAEDAK TA AGNAED
NAK TU KADAKUADA NGA AGNANAYON. NO SAAN DA NGA
IPATED DAYTOY KET ADDA TU SUMANGBAY A RIGAT WENNU
DIDIGRA A DAKKEL KAS KADAGITI SAKSAKIT TI TATTAO KEN
DAGITI ANIMALES DA”(Father go home and tell what you have seen
in me. Tell the barrio folks to construct a house where I can dwell with
them to make a statue. This is my command and remember this because
this is very powerful and important. If they will not heed of this, there
will be agreat suffering and calamities to the people. Pestilence will also
come, and enchanted lady returned and said, “Father remember and tell
the people what have you seen and heard including my name

“STA.BARBARA”, after that. The old man spread the news and Tiniente
del Barrio named Vicente Agpaua convened an emergency meeting and
informed the people of what happened. The strong faith and the whole
heartedbelief they had with the information from Tiniente del Barrio.
They agreed to follow the instruction relayed, but due to the
unavailability of a site where in a chapel can be built.
The Tiniente Del Barrio convicted from the group for a parcel of land
for the said purpose, and it was Baltazar Pascual who volunteered and
denoted a place for a chapel to be built in. Thereafter, they planned the
activities to be undertaken and one of the first move they have to do is to
go to the forest to cut trees for the preparation for the lumber needed.
People from adjacent abrangays who come to know about the matter
also provided assistance in the procurement of needed materials and
helped in the construction of the chapel.

The cooperation and unity of the people made it possible for the
construction and unity of the chapel and also in molding the image of
“STA.BARBARA”.
Finally, the Tiniente Del Barrio called again a meeting to plan for the
inauguration. He likewise informed the parish priest and Alcalde Joseph
Calsedo. The parish priest christened the image of “STA BARBARA”
during the inauguration held on April 30.

SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Every pupil must attend the flag ceremony and flag retreat.
Avoid littering in the school premises. Proper disposal of garbage should be
observe at all times in the class and in the school premises.
No loitering along corridors during class hours.
No pupil is allowed to howl, shout boisterously or create annoying noise especially
classes hours.
No to vandalism in the school campus.
Every pupil are obligued to conserve water and electricity in school at all times

SCHOOL-BASED CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
Sta. Barbara Elementary School promotes a zero tolerance policy for any act of child
abuse, violence, discrimination, bullying and other forms of abuse.
It shall be conducive to learning and children shall have the right to education free from fear.
All children shall be protected from all forms of abuse and bullying to develop self-esteem and self -
confidence.
It shall advocate a positive and non-punitive mode of disciplining children to foster self discipline
and to improve self-esteem.
Corporal punishment shall not be imposed on any child in school for the purpose of discipline,
training or control.
Pupils, students or learners shall respect the rights of others and refrain from commitimg acts of
bullying and peer violece
Parents shall be actively involve in all school activities or events that raise awareness on children's
rights and positive discipline, and the prevention of bullying.
Visitors and guests shall be oriented on child protection policy.
The Child Protection Committee Members and teachers must be aware of their roles, in cases of
violation of child abuse or bullying.
The conduct of investigation and reporting of cases of child abuse, exploitation, violence or
discrimination, shall be done expedititiously.
The school shall straightly follow the referal and monitoring system as prescribed in Annex D of
DepEd Order No. 40 s.2012 in cases of violations.

1. What would be your ideal school environment and how would you
encourage that kind of culture?
Culture of Excellence
I will discuss this to my co-teaCher and look into the ways to
maintain and encouraga this kind of culture to attain excellence.
2. How do you manage barriers for learning such as noise, light and
suitability for task?
Inculcate in the minds of the learners that when somebody talks,
they should listen, that they can not talk at the same time. Emphasize
too the process of communication, that there is always a speakr and a
listener and a feedback take place. If this is so the there is
understanding on both practice

successfully managed difficult situations at school?
Submitting report on time. During meeting, I am inculcating in their
minds and reminds the value of time management and the benefit of
submitting report on or before the deadline-stress free.

Maybe not now since not all of the pupils have gadgets and we don
have enough computers.

educational program of a school? How do you do it in a way that is
acceptable to your staff?

The main function of a teacher is to teach.As the school head, one of
our function is to monitor to give technical assistance to the teacher
if there is need. During post conference, explain to them the benefit
of monitoring and evaluation.
7. How many staff do you have in your school? Are they all involved

consistently show up negatively I staff meetings?
You explain the benefits derive from it and she/he might be one of
the beneficiaries.
8. What is your leadership style or do you have any experience with
inclusive leadership?
Democratic way of leadership where in all their voices are being head
before making a decision most often.

Meet them during PTS meeting and discuss the accomplishments

your school.

will delegate. Moreover, be sure that she/he can do it and be able to

2. How would you organized your faculty and staff meeting?
You're going to make a letter informing them the time, venue, day of
the meeting and include also your agenda to be discuss in the
meeting.

You look into the aspect where he needs technical assistance then
you discuss the matter in a very settle way. Maybe you can schedule a

standards in managing highly effective teachers and staff members?
Just serve a facilitator and employ participative and democratic
leadership.

Just be at the middle and explain to them that we can solve any issue
or concern in a very settle way without having heated arguments.

You cannot please everyone as the saying goes. So there where be
instances where in there is always a negative feedback to any teachers
whether new or veteran. Just listen and prove if it is true or not.

Based on our survey with the background of
Sta. Barbara Elementary School, we can therefore
conclude that this school dominates a positive
school culture. They have set the standards as
positive organizational culture that provides a sense
of identity, promotes achievement orientation,
helps shape standards and patterns of behaviours,
create distinct ways of doing things and determines
direction for future growth.
