3. Old man and the sea is a short novel
written by the American author “Ernest
Hemingway” in 1951 in Cuba.
Published in 1952.
Major work of fiction by Hemingway that
was published during his lifetime.
Famous works: Cuban Fisherman who
struggles with a giant marlin far out in the
Gulf Stream off the coast of Cuba.
4. Earnest Miller Hemingway born in
21st July, 1899 and died in 2nd July, 1961.
He was an American Journalist, Novelist,
short-story writer and sportsman.
His economical and understated style
which he termed the ‘Iceberg theory’ had a
strong influence on 20th century fiction.
Many of his works are considered
classics of American literature.
