3. Old man and the sea is a short novel
written by the American author “Ernest
Hemingway” in 1951 in Cuba.
Published in 1952.
Major work of fiction by Hemingway that
was published during his lifetime.
Famous works: Cuban Fisherman who
struggles with a giant marlin far out in the
Gulf Stream off the coast of Cuba.

4. Earnest Miller Hemingway born in
21st July, 1899 and died in 2nd July, 1961.
He was an American Journalist, Novelist,
short-story writer and sportsman.
His economical and understated style
which he termed the ‘Iceberg theory’ had a
strong influence on 20th century fiction.
Many of his works are considered
classics of American literature.
