1. Why is it important to know the background of different dances?
History allows us to gain a better understanding surrounding the events,
challenges, and celebrations that helped to form the people who developed our art
form. History is the study of change, the understanding of what has evolved, what has
remained the same, and what has fallen to the wayside. It helps us to understand how
change has affected the past to help us determine how similar change will affect the
future.
2. What makes Philippine festival unique?
Every festival has its own unique twist, whether it’s the music, venue or
atmosphere. Philippine festivals are town fiestas celebrating moments in history that
defined identity, polity and locality. Celebration of the arts and culture, albeit made
central to these festivities, only comes as a texture instead of text in the whole
exercise of the Festival.
3. What value do festivals teach us?
Through festivals, children learn social skills as family members, relatives and
friends get together to mark the occasion in unison. There’s so much knowledge to
acquire in these moments as children witness people greeting, welcoming, embracing
and communicating with each other. These occasions also serve as opportunities for
forging new bonds, friendships and through warm interactions, strengthen existing
bonds.
Children in the 0-5 year age and also us the adults have so much to enjoy and
learn through festivals that more than celebratory occasions, these moments can
become opportunities to enhance horizons of our knowledge.
Finally, when children learn about the anecdotes and inspirations behind
festivals, they indirectly boost their visualisation skills, not to mention learning how
to be patient listeners and think while they hear out. Festivals also come with their
terminologies, special references and glossary. Kids get to read rich content on special
occasions and while doing that they learn how to communicate, how to extend the
greetings themselves.
4. What are the famous products found in your hometown? How will you help in the
promotion of your own products?
The famous products found in my hometown are pineapples. I can help promote our
own product through my youtube account wherein I have an account and posted a
video about the importance and the vitamins we can get from pineapples of Palayan
Bayan, Baretbet, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya.
