The prerequisites for the Expert Level Training
For Classroom and Virtual Classroom delivery:
 Completion of the BVMS Professional Level online trainings including the Professional Level
online Exam with a minimum passing rate of 80 % (available within the BT Academy portal)
 Link to: BVMS Technical Certification Training Plan (Bosch Building Technologies Academy)
 Basic fundamental knowledge and understanding of
 IP Video Surveillance.
 IP networking.
 Prior working experience and fundamental knowledge and understanding of Bosch IP devices.
 Open mind to learn and ask plenty of questions!
On top for Virtual Classroom delivery:
 You need a solid and quick internet access to be able to attend this training

1. Virtual classroom 4 days: Offered in Grasbrunn and selected countries
 You need a solid and quick internet access to be able to attend this training
 Mix between online self-learning and instructor led sessions using Skype or MS Teams
 Hands-On: Remote connection to the Bosch training facilities using the TeamViewer application
 Self-learning content:
 Executed within the week before the virtual class starts
 Timing is up to the student (Web based)
 Available in the Bosch Building Technologies Academy (dedicated area w restricted access )
 Instructor led sessions can be delivered using either Skype or MS Teams
 Duration 4 x 6 hours a day, 9:00 to 16:00 (1h lunch)

How to re-certify after 2 years?
 How long is the certification valid? For 24 months / 2 years, from date of achieving certification.
 When to renew? After 2 years it is possible to renew the Expert and or Master certificate.
 Where to renew? Recertification is possible online, you will receive an e-mail notification, including a link.
 How?
 Login to the Bosch Building Technologies Academy portal
 Executing several web based trainings to learn about the new BVMS software and features (incl. quizzes)
 Download the updated classroom material (pdf files zipped) and pass the current final Expert or Master level exam.

 Open book, means no restrictions on material used, but not allowed to consult other persons/participants
 Score: 80% passing rate, each question has the same weight
 Multiple choice question: Choose only one out of 4 answers
 Two types of questions: a) select the answer by click b) drag and drop the answer to the empty answering field
 Localization is available for the following languages: French, Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Turkish, German
 3 attempts in total but cooling period of one day in-between is required (exam will be locked for one day only)
 All attempts can be done outside of Bosch premises (just stable internet access is needed)
 Recommended browser to use: Firefox or Edge
 Stable and reliable internet connection is mandatory to avoid loosing attempts by interrupted connections (no Wifi)

1. Choose “Catalog” and go to “Video Systems”
folder.
2. Scroll down and search for the “BVMS
technical certification Training Plan”. Open it.
3. Scroll down and choose Expert or Master
folder. Select the Exam inside. If the Exam is
locked please consult your trainer to confirm
the attendance in the (virtual) classroom
training.
4. Switch off the “pop up blocker” of your
browser, otherwise the Exam cannot start in a
new browser window!
5. Click the START button on
the top of the page and a
new browser window will
open. You can start the
exam max. 3 times
(pause of 1 day between
each attempt is
mandatory)
6. If the START or Continue button is blocked,
please check first the successful passing of
the BVMS Professional exam, before
consulting your Trainer.
