Types and Importance
• Journalism is an English word which meaning in Hindi
is"Patrakarita".
• There are not any universal definition of journalism
• Generally we can say that journalism is a expression of
our independent thoughts our social values .
• Journalism is a medium which distributes the
informations, reports, messages etc.

• Print media derrived from two words "print"
and "media".
• The meaning of print is "to be printed" or
"in written form"(which is printed by
machine).And
• Meaning of media is "press" or "medium" or
"journalism".
• So print media is a press which convey all
informations, news,and messages in written
form and these are printed by machines.

• News Papers :- There are many
synonymous of news papers. In "Urdu"
language "Akhabar"and "News Paper" in
"English" language and "Samachaar Patra" in
"Hindi"language.

written in briefly after intro.
16. Structures of News Heading :-
1.) Cross Line (Key Line):-Only one line. Written in
completely in line .
2.)Drop Line (Step Head):- 2-3 lines left to right
3.) Full Line :- 2-3 lines all equal.
4.) Flush Left :- 2-3 lines .Left side is equal and
right is different.
5.) Pyramid Line:- 1st line is larger than 2nd and
3rd line .
6.) Square Indention:- 4 lines all equal.
