“The essence of independent mind lies not in what it thinks, but in how it thinks.” Critical thinking occurs when students are analysing, evaluating, interpreting, or synthesizing information and applying creative thought to form an argument, solve a problem, or reach a conclusion. 樂 As an important element for modern education, Critical Thinking actively engages students and makes them ask questions, value judgements, and try to figure things out if they don’t make sense. As a part of the series of presentations on various pedagogies suggested by NEP 2020, the seventeenth session demonstrated the ways in which this pedagogy could be implemented at each stage i.e. pre-primary, primary, middle school and secondary through various critical thinking activities in Science, English and Social Studies. It was an informative and engaging session, exploring the different ways in which critical thinking could be included in classrooms in an exceptional presentation presented by️ Ms Avinash Kaur, Dr Champa Maurya and Saurabh Khetan under the leadership of Ms Shaila Pandey."
