The Index fall on 2nd
day after 3 winning streaks Sensex close down 1.47% while Nifty
close down 1.48%, as a slump in the rupee reignited fears of foreign investor selling.
Shedding around 5%, Tata Power, SBI, Ster. Tata Steel and Hindalco are major losers
today. Lenders fell after RBI mandated them to increase provisioning against their
currency exposure. IDBI, Bank Of Mh, Dena Bank will get preference for recapitalization.
