Analyst Team) /2005 / BG-08
 Maintains/Manages Stock Inventory in DSS; Distribution Standard System is the software
used by DLA Distribution to manage stock, I monitor receipts, stows, picks, packs DLA Stock
and transports material requisition orders(MRO) dropped on a daily basis in DSSmission stock
unction, continually gathers information does research to understands DSS modules to use
screen short cuts helps to minimize keyboard touches.
 Monitors causative analysis of processes in Distribution Standard System (DSS) software
used for processing shipments, material and documentation to establish the degree of accuracy
and effectiveness of operations and to identify deficiencies or trends affecting the quality of the
service, material provided to the customer and work with the Mr. Andrew Walls, the General
Supply Specialist for DLA Distribution Bahrain. I run reports to check for request created by
the stock owner/managerto screenfor potentially quality deficient/defective material. Monitors
supply discrepancy reports (SDR) or other notifications of defect. Identifies deficiencies in
operational procedures and practices and initiating improvements of the same, determining the
cause of inventory accuracy errors, conducting required investigations and responses,
performing location audits (survey and reconciliation), denial research, in-transit research,
physical inventory, adjustment researchandthe maintenance of locator files/item data integrity.
 Conducts and directs special studies while providing information to COCO (Contractor
Owned and Contractor Operated) Facility of operations within the division to determine causes
of problems and ways of improving and integrating the documentation, workflow and handling
of material.
 Evaluates existing methods and procedures used for warehousing, re-warehousing,
warehouse denials, document control, stock replenishment, movement of material, inventory
procedures, safeguarding materials in storage, stock selections, movement of material through
facilities, packing and processing material, and shipment of materials. Research Care of
Supplies in Storage (COSIS) for discrepancies in stock on a daily basis.
 Alternate Facilities Manager for DLA Distribution Bahrain Bay 6, placing trouble calls
directly to the trouble desk for facility maintenance only after inspecting the problem.
Accurately track all work orders submitted for building, periodically inspect building(s) for
deficiencies and properly submit work requests to Public Works. Maintains open
communication with the chain of command and public work regarding facility issues. Ensuring
funding is in place for jobs that are on work request and repair to meet DLA Standards. Also
coordinates with BANZ group the building owner and check status of trouble calls.

 Receives Hazmat Cargo/Certifier manifests cargo in Distribution Standard System (DSS)
from Av-unit transported by Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) trucks, ocean cargo and
Land Bridge Containers. I am also a Hazardous Materials Certifier, receives process and stores
segregated types of Hazardous shipment based on their physical and chemical characteristics
to include flammable, non-flammable liquids/solids corrosive materials and poisons from
surface bound cargo that may pose a potential danger to human health or the environment.
Managesthe shelf-life for all hazards shipment. Makessure hazardous shipment are in standard
packing containers, labeled, protective devices, and cushioning, and packing materials used to
pack Hazardous Materials. Examine packages and material for damage, proper packaging, and
correct documentation to include dd1149 / dd1348. Prepares Shippers Declaration for
dangerous goods that are authorized to be transported by air and ocean, making sure that
shipment includes Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) during transportation. Uses various
hazardous guides to certify Hazmat shipments like AFMAN 24-204 (Air force Manual), Code
of FederalRegulations (49 CFR),IATA dangerous goods regulations (DGR). IMDGfor ocean
shipments.

 As a dangerous goods Certifier I process HAZMAT into the DSS and prepared proper
documentation for the disposal of HAZARDOUS Material via the NSA Environmental
Department guidelines for safe disposal of Hazmat waste.
 Stages cargo which is sorted, re-palletize, segregate general cargo and Hazmat Cargo is set
aside according to Hazard group classes and cargo is manifested, paper work prepared for
transportation which is certified for Air transportation to be forward to deployed ships in the
Area of Responsibility (AOR) or set aside for outbound container movement.
 Receives Hazmat waste is identified and information gathered DD 1348 to be given to Hazmat
lead, making sure DD1348 is properly marked with corrective information to be provided ton
base environmental department, making sure all material sent is correctly manifested and
signed.
 Coordinates with Hazmat supervisor to certify Hazardous cargo and load outbound container
making sure all Hazardous cargo is fork lifted in the container properly and bracesthe container
and marks the exterior of the container with correct hazmat class stickers.
 Assigned with the task to ensure all CASREP/DLRs (999) cargo is in-checked and delivered
right away to respective ships to avoid complications.
 Verifies ships Routing Guide to identify cargothat needs to go to Av-units/ pier, ships deployed
within the AOR, coordinates transportation.
 Assigned as second shift supervisor on rotational bases,ensure cargo is processed, Manifested
and logged for next day movement, making sure end all MHE is accounted and the floor is set
clear for receiving cargo the next day.
 Verifies the DD 1149 brought by NSA tenant command customers to be forwarded to AMC
terminal is filled out properly with correct of destination, TAC code /Accounting Data, TCN
and authorizing officer’s signature and coordinate with the Av-unit before sending materials
should be packed and palletized properly with shipping labels to be entered into DSS.
 Provides safety and Fire Marshall Inspection of equipment in the warehouse.
 Serves as the agency Hand Receipt Holder, directly responsible for the physical care and
custody of government property valued $300 to $20,000.
 Licensed to operate US Government Vehicles such as (fork lift up-to10K,15 Passenger
and 1-1/4 Ton Truck)
 Holding valid Bahraini driving license.

Position Title/Series/Grade: Packer / 7002 / BG-05
 Knowledge and ability to apply Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR), MILSTAMP,and
logistics automated systems (e.g. CMOS, WPS, AMS and GTN).
 Knowledge of DOD (Department of Defense), DLA (Defense Logistics Agency), DDC
(Defense Distribution Centre),and local regulations pertaining to receiving, storing, shipping a
wide variety of materials.
 Receives inbound assorted cargo from Av-Unit/Ocean cargo/Land bridge cargo marked for
various tenant commands and home ported ships, cargo is marked for easy identification based
on Unit Identification Code (UIC), cargo is segregated and inputted into DSS to generate
manifest.
 Cross training in Tip of the Spear (TOSMART), utilized system like Uncle Sam’s to issue /
sales of military uniforms, office supplies, check inventory control, off-load containers, stage,
palletize and enter in system.
 Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties in receiving, issuing, staging,
palletizing and manifesting materials.
 Utilize small hand tools and operate material handling equipment including forklifts, skids,
pallet handlers, hand trucks, etc.
 Receiving commercial parcels from FEDEX, DHL, UPS, TNT, and ARAMEX Worldwide
Express as well as contacting customers to procure their shipments on a daily basis.
 Maintain necessary documentation, files and records. Perform tasks of both physical and
administrative nature that require judgment, skills, and knowledge of materials and of facilities
in a warehouse environment.
 Prepares an Export Traffic Release Request (ETRR) for materials from incoming containers
that required to be sent back to the ships that are not in the Routing Guide or have left the AOR
commands TP III material will be segregated general cargo from HAZMAT cargo, Hazmat
cargo is then certified and placed separately.
 Maintain warehouse in accordance with department procedures and command policies.
 Knowledge of procedures and safety practices involved in daily operations such as; preparing
daily customer call list, preparing customer manifest for material to be forwarded to AMC,
OCEAN CARGO and ATAC (DD Forms 1149, 1348), proper storage of materials received,
use of software such as GSA-US CLUB to assist customers in counter sales, use of software
such as AMS (Automated Manifest System) to assist customers.
 Co-ordinate activities with various department heads on the status of Casers “W” / ‘G’ series /
999 priority materials required for the command mission.
 Preparing weekly reports, keeping work leader/supervisor informed on all aspects of assigned
operations and the status of tasks assigned.

I am also a Hazardous Materials Certifier, receives process and stores segregated types of Hazardous shipment based on their physical and chemical characteristics to include flammable, non-flammable liquids/solids corrosive materials and poisons from surface bound cargo that may pose a potential danger to human health or the environment. Managesthe shelf-life for all hazards shipment. Makessure hazardous shipment are in standard packing containers, labeled, protective devices, and cushioning, and packing materials used to pack Hazardous Materials. Examine packages and material for damage, proper packaging, and correct documentation to include dd1149 / dd1348. Prepares Shippers Declaration for dangerous goods that are authorized to be transported by air and ocean, making sure that shipment includes Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) during transportation.
