Welcome to the 2015 R3 Recycling & Organics Conference & Trade Show.
Thank you R3 Conference Sponsors. **Need to decide if we call them all out and ask them to stand for a pic at this part or later during lunch.**
Thank the sustaining members. **Decide whether to ask them to stand now or during lunch.**
To go with the Energy Star certified green venue with onsite organic management and our push towards zero waste, we have a greener Program Booklet with less pages. All the speaker bios are on the website.
WiFi password to access Conference materials.
Emphasize that everyone needs to be seated and quiet at 1PM sharp for the Awards.
Part of our zero waste push, using reused name tags. Please return them so we can continue to reuse them in future years. Returning the badge with your name tag still inside automatically enters you into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate.
Survey should be in the registration packet. Ask them to fill it out before they leave.
Invite everyone to Social Hour.
Open the Annual Meeting. **Up to you here to decide to open public comment period now or ask audience to hold until after the Keynote for the sake of time.**
The theme of 2014 was recovery and redefinition.
We ended or modified programs that were costing us money. Launched a new membership structure to reduce the confusion between sponsorships and memberships.
Continued strong programs and began focusing our approach through advocacy and new programs.
If asked, year end we had $12K in the bank but significant receivables over $30K.
This P&L is run as cash because we have such huge AR and overflow of AP from sticker program.
Bulk of Administration was for rent.
Stickers account for almost 1/3 of the Program Expenses.
