What does success look like?
• Continued expansion of the Business Engagement Database
and currently 230 March 2015 – tripling the entry level.
• Measuring the uptake of services – quantifiable impact
• Case studies and testimonials – quality impact
• Grants scheme successfully delivered £200,000
• Meeting DfT reporting requirements
• Focus on project ‘Legacy’ for Businesses
• Continued support of businesses already involved in the
project
• Identifying and targeting businesses in ‘transition’ so that
resources are used to maximum effect
4. Statistics: Grants
Match funded grants (50:50) to support improvements to
facilities onsite such as improved cycling facilities, Electric
Vehicle Charging Point (installation and commission only)
showers, lockers, changing rooms, cycle parking, pool bikes):

Round 2, 2014, £74,000 – March 2014
Round 3, 2014, £69,000 – July 2014
Round 4, 2014, £21,000 – November 2014
70% of grant money distributed to RPS affected businesses
230 Actively engaged businesses (correspondence includes
regular newsletters)
There will be three grant rounds in 2015/16 with the first in
April 2015.
5. An LSTF update
LSTF in 2014 delivered beyond initial projections with the Database of Businesses
tripling since the project started in 2012, with a third of businesses receiving
intensive engagement.
2012 = 12 businesses intensively engaged (61 in total)
2013 = 46 businesses intensively engaged (153 in total)
2014/15 = 63 businesses intensively engaged (230 in total)
• Approximately 300 employer roadshows for Bristol businesses since 2012
• Developed a new approach to PTP with North Bristol NHS Trust and managing a
specific resource to work intensively in the RPS area
• Revived the Bristol Cycle Champions Scheme in 2014 with 56 Businesses
• Continuation of 25 core activities to assist with Businesses making sustainable
travel a priority for 2015/16
