• YouTube is a web-video-sharing site that allow users to upload, watch, and
share videos
• YouTube is a social media platform that was launched in 2005 that allows
billions of individuals to discover, watch and share original user created
videos (YouTube, 2015)

4. HOW TO UPLOAD VIDEOS
 Step by step in uploading videos into www.youtube.com
 Register a user account in www.youtube.com
 Login into your YouTube account
 Click upload on the right-upper corner
 Choose Upload multiple Files and then Select Files From Your Computer
because we will upload video(s) from your computer
 Choose your video(s)
 YouTube will upload your videos into www.youtube.com. While waiting,
you can choose a title for your video(s), give an additional info, and put a
tag of your video(s)

6. HOW TO WATCHED IT ONLINE
It is easy to stream a video in YouTube to your liking, just open www.youtube.com in your
browser address bar, and then write the video’s title into search bar. The video will appear in
search list, videos with the same title or close with the tittle name will also appear in search list.
Then click the video that you want to play and YouTube will play it.

7. STRENGTH AND WEAKNESS
 Strength
 Can view and upload videos as we like
 Can be used as promotion of our self
 By streaming, we can learn many helpful video
 Can be downloaded in High Definition
 Weakness
 Can be used by users in the wrong way
 Many countries are blocking YouTube
 Because we can uploaded our videos freely, many users uploaded useless videos
 Many videos with poor quality
 Must connected to internet
 Cannot be downloaded directly.

8. TEACHING PROCEDURE
Teacher should have a good connection
Teacher search a video based on the skills that the teacher want to
teach
Teacher play the video, and then explain the video

9. LANGUAGE SKILLS USING YOUTUBE
 reading skills ~> search “reading skills” and YouTube will provide you the videos
of the related search such as “Reading that work – for test and in class”, “Speed
reading – how to improve reading skills for IELTS”, “4 strategies to Master
Reading Comprehension Skills”, and “Developing Reading Skills”.
 Listening Skills ~> search listening skills and youtube will provide you “5 secrets
to improve your english listening skills”,
 Writing Skills ~> search writing skills and the list that shows like “How to improve
your english writing skills? – Free english lesson”,
 Speaking skills ~> will show you “how to improve your english skills (by yourself)”

10. CONCLUSION
 Using youtube is easy as long as there is stabil connection to the internet, while
most of schools in Indonesia, especially schools that far from the main city
 We can use youtube in four basic skillc of english such as reading, writing, listening,
and speaking with a proper video
