1961 as 2nd IIM in India.
• Founding figures – Vikram Sarabhai,
Kasturbhai Lalbhai, Kamla Chowdhury.
• “Vikram Sarabhai Library” as a
important part of IIMA established
and named after Vikram Sarabhai in
1962.
• Best management library in Asia.

• Received “Award of Distinction” at
the ‘UNESCO Asia Pacific Award for
