3. Teach basics of using Photoshop
Objectives
To have different tools suitable for different levels of students
since most of them have never used or heard of Photoshop
before and to start from the basics
I produced many tutorials on easy and simple tools for
year 7s to start. When testing the website with the client
they said that it was easy to follow our step-by-step
tutorials and they are very useful and interested.
Therefore my group has succeed in teaching younger
students the basic of using Photoshop.
4. Provide fun tips and tricks
Objectives
To have a tips and tricks page that allows year 7s to visit
frequently and learn interesting new skills
I have produced a tips and tricks page in order to make
my website more interesting. My aim was to update it
regularly, however, I failed to achieve this desired aim
because of time. My testing also shows the inefficient of
information of this tips and tricks page. One of the
student mentioned that I should put more stuffs on this
page.
5. Reach at least 10 views on YouTube
Objectives
To be able to attract enough students to be interested in our
project and tutorials.
Even after sending out many emails to our target group,
only one of my tutorials have achieved this aim as well.
The higher view on YouTube was the spot healing tool
which reached 12 views in one month. This was the first
tutorial that I have uploaded onto YouTube. Therefore I
believe that more students will watch the other ones after
a few more weeks. Also I marked my tutorials to be
unlisted on YouTube due to privacy so this also had an
effect on the views.
6. Help solve Photoshop problems
Objectives
To help students with their Photoshop problems by setting up a
question or contact page.
I have set up a contact page with all my group mates’ blog
links and emails. However when testing we realized that it
was difficult to respond to every individual emails because
of time. Also most of them found our tutorials very useful that
they decided not to ask any questions instead. I think that
my website is very user-friendly and the students have no
problem using it. From my testing, a majority of them started
that it’s easy and simple to navigate through my website.
But I believe that as it becomes more widespread between
my target group, there will soon be more people who know
about our website.
7. Discover new editing effects
Objectives
To find more interesting Photoshop techniques and skills and
share them through website or tutorials.
My group has succeed in achieving this aim since we did
many research beforehand on what our target group
might be interested in. Also we watched many
Photoshop tutorials to learn new skills and transform them
into different editing effects. Therefore I believe that
many we discovered many new techniques by trying out
different tools until we find that appropriate ones.
8. Create Facebook cover photo
Objectives
To present students with our new Photoshop editing effects
through creating images that they may be interested in.
We have not only created out own Facebook cover
photo, we have edited many other images which are all
well-presented on the home page of my website. Once
my target group has opened up my website, they will be
attracted to these images and become interested in
how to learn the techniques and tools. All of our
Photoshop images are simple and easy to edit which
must be suitable for younger students.
9. Conclusion
In conclusion I think that my project was very successful, I
have not only developed new technical skills on using
Photoshop, iMovie and Wix. I have learned how to work
in groups, we have divided up jobs between the three of
us. Therefore we were able to work efficiently and
productive and could hand in our final product on time. I
hope that I can still have time update my website
constantly because I really wish that year 7s can benefit
from our hard work.
