Software Embedded C and Lab view. Used Orcad and spice for hardware simulation.
LSI Logic, Wichita, Kansas 2000 - 2007
LSI Storage Products designs and builds high end RAID storage servers.
Sr Test Development Engineer – PCBA Test Group
• Developed hardware and software to improve current test process for Raid controller board. Reduced
test equipment from $700,000 to $8000. Operator test time was reduced from 20 minutes to less than 1
minute.
Equipment savings was $692,000. Test time reduction by 95%. Cost per hour $44.
• Designed mid plane test board and software to lower cost. Current cost per year was $360,000. New test
hardware cost $30,000. Savings $330,000.
• Developed hardware and software for automated test process for battery management module. Current
process took 45 minutes per module. Automated hardware and software reduced test time to three
minutes. Cost reduction of 7000 hours per year. 7000 * $44 = $308000
• Developed video image color processing for LED inspection for our contract house. Eliminated operator
error. Software used was Matrox Inspector and Mil 7.5.
• Developed thermal chamber test fixtures to test 112 Raid controllers at once. Each test run held $336,000
dollars of OEM product. This involved 400 amp buss bars, power distribution, 112 Ethernet connections
and Solaris servers. Mechanical design
