INTHE BEGINNING
MIGATO was founded in 1983 in Athens, Greece during
the high point of 80’s fashion when its two founders,
Panagiotis and Maria Zacharaki-Gatos started fulfilling
their business dream together.
Armed with a clear vision they started by importing unique-
looking slippers from Taiwan, which they distributed as
wholesalers all over Greece.
By 1987, they created their first complete MIGATO
footwear collection which was an instant hit. In 1989,
Panagiotis and Maria Zacharaki-Gatos opened
their first store, with a varied selection of shoes and
accessories.

The distribution center of MIGATO in Magoula, Athens is a state-of-the-art 15.000 m2
logistics
facility, fine-tuned with all the latest developments in logistics technology and transportation to
manage large loads of merchandise to all global destinations with the outmost efficiency
