2. Does Pertino limit my bandwidth?
No way. Pertino does not implement any bandwidth
caps, but your speed may be limited by your
broadband provider or public wifi connection.
3. What encryption does Pertino use?
Pertino uses the same AES 256-bit encryption used by
banks to keep data secure from end-to-end.
4. What data centers are Pertino in?
Pertino's Cloud Network Engine platform runs in only
top tier data centers around the world including
Linode, Rackspace, and Amazon Web Services.
5. How do I deploy Pertino?
Download the Pertino app on each device that you
want to connect, and you're up and running.
6. What happens when I install Pertino on my
devices?
Pertino instantly creates a secure network in the cloud
that connects all of your device together, just like your
office LAN. You'll be able to securely access behindthe-firewall applications, files, and printers from
anywhere.
7. What device operating systems does
Pertino support today?
Pertino currently supports Windows 7 and 8; Windows
Server 2008 R2 and 2012; Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8;
Ubuntu 12.0.4 (beta) (Linux); and Android 4.2 and
above (beta).
More device support is coming, so stay tuned.
8. What's Pertino like for the network admin?
The network admin, or "network owner," has full
control over the network. That person can add and
remove users, view network activity, and add
additional functionality to the network through a web
browser.
9. What's Pertino like for the end user?
The end user, or "member", gets LAN-like access from
anywhere, without any hassle. There's no client to
start, no profile to select, and no login. They just power
up their device and, within seconds, are connected to
their Pertino network.
10. Does all my device data traffic flow
through the Pertino cloud network?
Today, Pertino works in "split tunnel" mode, which
means only data traffic from a device destined to
another device on your network (e.g. server) will flow
through the Pertino cloud network. All other data
traffic from a device, like web browsing, will go directly
to the Internet.
11. Who benefits from a service like Pertino?
Any company or organization that has mobile or remote
employees or contractors who need access to behind-thefirewall or cloud-based resources. If you're an IT
professional, you'll appreciate the fact that Pertino deploys
in minutes with no hardware, upfront costs, configuration,
or long-term commitments. And, since Pertino is
transparent to end users and connects automatically, you
can expect a lot fewer help desk calls too.
12. How do I buy Pertino?
Pertino has several network plans that vary based on
the number of devices you want to connect. The first
plan starts at $29 / month for 10 devices. We offer both
a monthly subscription with no contracts or
commitments, and a discounted annual plan. See
