Earth's climate is always changing. Many factors can contribute to the cause of changes in Earth's energy. Some changes in climate change are natural.
It includes changes in Earth's orbit and the amount of energy coming from the sun. Also, ocean changes and volcanic eruptions are natural causes of
climate change.
When climate change occurs; there is increase in temperature. When temperature rises, unusual changes occur on Earth. For example, it can result
into more floods, droughts, or intense rain, as well as severe heat waves. Oceans and glaciers have also experienced some changes. According to
NASA: Sea levels have risen 3 inches and extreme weather in the U.S. has increased by 30 percent. In Greenland and Antarctica, ice sheets have lost
4.9 trillion tons of ice.
In addition, human also partake in activities that help destroy the planet. Over the past century global warming trend is also caused by human expansion
of the "greenhouse effect"– warming that occurs when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward space. Gases in the atmosphere block
heat from escaping. This is called the greenhouse effect. However, while greenhouse gases increase, the climate changes and result into effects that is
dangerous to human health and ecosystems. The gases that have an influence on the atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide and

We have one World, one chance, why do we choose to waste it. Hello ladies, gentlemen, and judges. Today I'm coming to speak to you about one very
urgent matter, climate change. Now bear with me here, I'm assuming that everyone here is aware of climate change if not you will. Climate change is
the change of the average temperature in earth's atmosphere and oceans. Now earth's temperature is always changing and will continue to change, but
the way we're going it's not for the better. Now I'm sure at least one of you have heard a politician or someone like that saying climate change isn't

The Natural And Natural Causes Of Global Warming
Introduction
What is global warming? Global warming is the average temperature of Earth has increases since 1950 until now the temperature continuing increasing.
Global warming can also refers to climate change that causes an increase in the average of temperature. However global warming are causes by natural
events and human that are believed to be contribute to increase in average temperatures.
Causes of Global Warming
Global warming is a serious issue and is not a single issue but a number of environmental issues. Global warming is a rise in the surface temperature of
the earth that has changed various life forms on the earth. The issues that cause global warming are divided into two categories include "natural" and
"human influences" of global warming.
Natural Causes of Global Warming
The climate has continuously changing for centuries. The global warming happens because the natural rotation of the sun that changes the intensity of
sunlight and moving closer to the earth.
Another cause of global warming is greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide it trap the solar heats rays and
prevent it from escaping from the surface of the earth. This has cause the temperature of the earth increase.
Volcanic eruptions are another issue that causes global warming. For instance, a single volcanic eruption will release amount ofcarbon dioxide and ash
to the atmosphere. Once carbon dioxide increase, the temperature of earth increase and greenhouse trap the solar radiations in the earth.
Finally, methane is another issue that causes global warming. Methane is also a greenhouse gas. Methane is more effective in trapping heat in the
atmosphere that carbon dioxide by 20 times. Usually methane gas can release from many areas. For instance, it can be from cattle, landfill, natural gas,
petroleum systems, coal mining, mobile explosion, or industrial waste process.
Human Influences on Global Warming
Human influence has been a very serious issue now because human do not take care the earth. Human that cause global warming are more than natural
causes global warming. The earth has been changing for many years until now it is still changing because of modern lifestyle of human. Human

Essay on The Threat of Global Warming
The Threat of Global Warming
Through the eyes of most scientists, global warming is seen as a very serious and severe threat. The actions taken by humans, such as industry and
consumption of fossil fuels plus the increase in population and agriculture have played a big part in global warming. If something is not done soon the
results could be very bad.
By the middle of the twenty first century, there is evidence that the Earth will be warmer than it has been at any time in human history, and quite
possibly since the end of the dinosaurs, some 65 billion years ago. If we stay at the rate we are now (fossil fuel consumption / growth in population)
then within the next two century the Earth's air might not be fit to breath. Many...show more content...
These gases are carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, nitrous oxide, and water vapor.
The main contributor to the greenhouse effect and global warming is carbon dioxide. The atmosphere contains over 700 billion tons of carbon in the
form of carbon dioxide. Currently, humans burn more than 5 billion tons of fossil fuel carbon each year, all of it going into the atmosphere in the
form of carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide. In addition, deforestation and subsequent burning and decay add another 1.5 billion tons. Scientists feel
that about 40 percent of the carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is taken up by the oceans or plant growth. The remaining 60 percent stays in
the atmosphere, and is responsible for the .4 to .5 percent yearly growth in carbon dioxide concentrations.
Methane is also another major greenhouse gas that is growing significantly more and more each year. Methane is a gas that is naturally produced from
decomposition of plant material and enteric fermentation in animals. Scientists say that the growth of methane is from a combination of increases in
petroleum, natural gas, coal, rice farming, and increases in the population of domestic farm animals throughout the world. Nitrous oxide is just slightly
increasing each year due to fossil fuel combustion and soil fertilization. Emissions from fossil fuel combustion also react to form ozone in the
troposphere. Ozone acts like

Thesis Statement : Global Warming
Thesis Statement: Global warming is a growing concern of scientists and researchers who believe that it is a serious problem for our planet. The
concerns and research have also been questioned and have even been called myths. Millions of people find themselves affected by these weather
pattern changes and are concerned for their futures. Activists on both sides of the argument are very passionate and not afraid to attack each other in
every way they can. There are many questions that are still not answered, however, we continue to see drastic weather changes to Earth. We must go
beyond the arguments and learn as much as we can to stop what could possibly lead to the destruction of our planet, our way of life and our future.
Global warming is concerned with an average increase in the temperature of the atmosphere and the increase in the Earth 's surface temperature
primarily due to the emission of greenhouse gases from the burning of fossil fuels. As for the processes of global warming, they can occur from a
variety of causes. The causes include the things that are concerned with natural and human factors.
Some people believe that global warming is a myth or hoax. They believe that global warming is being used to generate fear and panic and that those
behind this movement are using it to control people 's lives and for financial gain. "Within the community of scientists and others concerned about
anthropogenic climate change, those who are skeptics are more commonly termed

Persuasive Speech On Global Warming
Our planet faces a future of extreme weather so whether you call it Global Warming or Climate Change the effects are the same. We have seen our
planet is getting hotter and increasing the chances of weather disasters. We have witnessed record heat, droughts, severe storms, and fire already. When
connecting the dots between climate change and the effects we are seeing with the weather and health, the lines are clear. Our Earth is saying something
but it is up to us to listen and pay attention to the signs. But why should we care about one degree of warming? After all, the temperature fluctuates by
many degrees every day where we live. I will explain this all to you.
People have claimed that the earth is going through a natural phase and in part that is true, but we also have to look at the evidence that we have sped
it up and made the Carbon Dioxide levels rise that much more and faster. To look at these changes scientists have sent out satellites to measure the
fluctuations in the sun's energy. The historical record shows that the climate system varies naturally over a wide range of time scales. These variations
have been small in comparison to human influences in the past several centuries. This means that the humans, since the industrial age, have produced
six billion tons of carbon dioxide from the factories that have been built. The main component that was burnt was coal which was one of the main
sources of energy.
The global average temperature increased by more

Without this layer of gases the Earth would be too cold to be inhabited, perhaps 20 degrees cooler than now. But, then amount of gases in this layer
must remain constant. Even a slight increase could have drastic results. Many people believe that a one degree increase in the temperature will not
cause much harm. The truth is with every degree of increase in temperature a 100 more wildlife species are put in danger of extinction. Numerous
experiments and studies prove that an increased level of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, is causing climate change and causing it fast.
2) Human Activities
A) Burning of fossil fuels–This is the most prominent and deadly source of climate change. Burning of fossil fuels can release greenhouse gases
ranging from carbon dioxide to ammonia. With massive industrialization currently going on, the amount of fossil fuels burned is increasing. Transport
and heating are also major energy sources. Almost 7 giga tonnes of Carbon dioxide is emitted per year. In the U.K three–fourths of energy produced
comes from fossil fuels. Mineral fuels like petroleum and coal are major sources of energy. In the last 150 years more than 45 Billion tonnes of
carbon dioxide has been emitted .The most problematic factor is that in the last decade; there has been no slowdown in carbon emissions.
B) Poor use of land–Plants are the only natural purifiers of air and also the most abundant. But, many trees

It is important that governments and people solve the Global Warming problem by decreasing buildings and greenhouses emissions, cutting down
industrial waste heat, and encouraging people to use biofuel in their vehicles. Researchers have found the three main sources of Global Warming:
human activities (that is caused by their daily activities and its impacts on people's lives) and natural factors (which are caused by the chemical and
physical impacts of natural sources) (Roleff 57– 61). To be precise, there are two kinds of human sources such as heat and gases emissions that are
produced from buildings and greenhouses and heat losses that come from power plants and factories. Buildings and greenhouses emissions are heat
and gases emitted from any buildings and houses activities like air–conditioning, using gas for houses and buildings activities, the radiation that come
from the electrical equipment. All these reasons have largely impacted the earth's weather due to increasing the proportion of carbon dioxide (Co2).
Many researchers argue that buildings and greenhouses emissions offer some benefits to the earth's weather and environment because they believe that
there is only a small amount of emissions in the earth's atmosphere which keep the balance of weather on the earth (Walker & King 12). The
air–conditioning systems in summer absorb hot air from buildings and greenhouses and project it directly into

Have you ever thought that pollution is like cancer for the mother earth?
I am here to talk to you about better way of lifestyle that changes the whole future of our planet regarding pollution and global warming.
"CO2 gas emissions" is a mystical term which everyone should pay attention to. C02 gas is a colorless, odorless gas that is present in the atmosphere
and is formed when any fuel containing carbon is burned. Plants and trees are using it in the process of photosynthesis. Carbon dioxide is also used in
refrigeration, fire extinguishers, and carbonated drinks. In other words this is the gas we need to fight with! By using fossil fuels in almost
everything we do, we make a huge cloud of gas and this is warming up the world. By doing this, we cause serious damage to the nature and we may
have an irreversible effect on it and the future.
As you now understand that we need to fight with it, I am going to tell you some ways to do it.
First of all, reduce the time you are in the car and use your legs to move .Use Bikes! People are getting lazier as time goes, but you can make the
change. If you walk more, you help your planet and you help yourself, so why not to do it?
Take care about your garden. Those are the filters of our caused high levels of gas. Mother nature knows how to cure the world, so let's help a little

Global Warming Essay The idea of global became prevalent when the world began industrializing. As the popularity of cars grew and industrial
factories began to spring up the air quality suffered. The problem was not recognized because, aside from a few orange skies, there were no obvious
effects. Although in this day and age we can see what global warming is doing to our Earth, there are still those people who believe that humans are
too small to make an impact. Global warming is too often put on the back burner, and things that seem to be more important are made priority.
However global warming is tied back to those things that seem to be a priority. The Earth is our home and...show more content...
Although winters still exist, every ice shelf has not melted, and we still have "La NiГ±a" years, the ultimate trend shows that the Earth is getting
warmer. The question is, what is causing this overall increase in temperature? The answer is that humans are adding excess carbon dioxide to the
atmosphere and "Climate scientists are quite sure that if we keep adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, that will trap more heat in the Earth's
surface and the global average temperature will continue to rise over time." (Brad Plumer). Carbon dioxide is a large factor in the climate change
but it is not the only cause. Other things that effect the Earth's temperature are natural events such as "El NiГ±o and La NiГ±a cycles...volcanoes...
air pollution. There are changes in solar activity and so forth." (Brad Plumer). Although humans are not the only cause of global warming we are
making the climate change more drastic. Since we live on this planet it is important for us to take care of it, so that whatever nature throws at us will
not be the end on humanity. "The IPCC says that heavy precipitation events in the Northern Hemisphere are expected to increase as the planet heats up.
But that prediction is for all seasons, not just winter..." What this means is that is there will be extreme weather conditions; it will be raining heavily in

Global Warming Is A Threat Essay
Global warming has been a controversial issue since the first publication of global warming, "Worlds in the Making," by Svante Arrhenius in 1896.
This topic is discussed in multiple areas of life, including politics, at the dinner table, and among scientists in a laboratory. The various viewpoints of
individuals usually lead to a heated discussion on global warming, and sometimes ignites an intense argument. Through research and discussions with
various people, I have come to the belief that global warming is a real threat and needs to dealt with accordingly. Through act of emitting extra carbon
into the atmosphere, whether through burning fossil fuels or deforestation, humans have inadvertently raised the average climate temperature over the
last 200 years. Many pieces of evidence support the claim that global warming is a significant issue today. The first key piece of evidence I will discuss
is the release of carbon into Earth's atmosphere. Since the introduction of fossil fuels, which are the main source of energy on Earth, the average
temperature has increased slowly over the last 200 years, eventually amassing to a crucial level ("Global Warming"). The second piece of evidence is
the rapid speed of the melting of the polar ice caps. Multiple satellite images have proven that the coasts of Antarctica are receding at a much faster
pace than in recent history (Conway). This retreat can cause many dire situations for our future generations to come, including sea level to

Rhetorical Analysis For Global Warming
Global Warming is a huge problem for the environment. The earth's temperature has risen about 1–degree Fahrenheit since 1900 the temperatures are
continuing to rise setting record temperature (Biello). This image is a public service announcement to turn off lights because it is a cause to global
warming. In the image a penguin is pulling on a plug to turn out a light. This image evokes an emotional response because it has a baby penguin
looking scared behind its mom, while the ice they are on is melting. It also illustrates a point that leaving lights on can cause global warming because it
states it in the text. The light shining on the penguins looks like it is melting the ice they are standing on. I selected this image because it caught
my eye and then made me read the text, which shows that it is an effective PSA. I also think global warming is a problem and I did not know that
leaving lights on made such a big impact. This image can be analyzed by looking at the six rhetorical factors: character and action, setting, point of
view, use of color, special effects, and image presentation. First, the characters and action in this advertisement make a large impact on this image.
The penguins are struggling and are fearful for their lives. The animal's facial expressions express how they are distressed that the light is causing the
ice they are standing on to melt. This displays how much of a problem global warming is and how we should be more fearful of the impact it is
making in the colder climates. One sources states "Specifically, more than two–thirds of Antarctica's emperor penguin colonies will decline by more
than 50 percent by the end of the century under future climate change scenarios" (Palermo). This shows that global warming is truly hurting the
penguins and many other animals similar. The picture suggests an action to turn off lights to help reduce the pollution. Second, the setting of the
image takes place somewhere cold, which is the main area affected by global warming. The penguins are standing on a block of ice symbolizing the
Arctic and the block of ice is melting. "The Science Daily reports that ice melting rates were 25 times higher than expected in localized areas of
Antarctica's largest

Persuasive Speech Outline On Global Warming

  • 1. Persuasive Speech Outline On Global Warming I.Introduction A.Hook: There have been reported increase in temperature from 2 degrees to 4.5 degrees annually. This implies that global warming is becoming a vicious cycle. B.The skeptics argue that, climate change does not exist but overwhelmingly majority of scientists argue that climate exist and it's causing more harm all round. C.Although most people deny the fact global warming does not exist, it should be everyone's target to end global warming because by doing so, public health will be improved, vital ecosystems and species will be preserved and it will be beneficial to farmers. II.CONTEXT A.Global warming has been an ongoing issue since the 1980s. This issue rose due to the evident negative impacts that it has created worldwide....show more content... Global warming is a very important issue health wise which needs to be handled with immediate attention. A.Reducing global warming will be beneficial to farmers. B.Evidence i.Farmers can make money through installing clean energy technologies on their land and buildings. Statistics show that they can make up to $3000 more per year. The U.S Department of energy estimates that U.s Farmers will be making $1.2 billion in the new income per year. ii. Johnson who is an expert points out that, through controlled climate change, farmers can avoid losses that are associated with climate change. Unchecked emission scenario can lead too severe rains which are destructive. iii. U.S department of Agriculture reduced global warming will lead to reduced methane emissions from fertilizers catastrophic materials which will lead to flourishing of plants hence good output. C.It is evident that reducing global warming will help farmers and improve the economy. Why not take action? A.Reducing global warming will lead to preservation of ecosystem and species. B. i.Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change states that if global temperature rises more than 30% will make plants and animals that provides us with certain products

Informative Speech On Climate Change Comfort Olaoye COM 231: FJT21 Professor: Megan Summers Topic: Climate Change Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the growth of climate change worldwide and the source of its cause. Central Idea: To discuss global warming. What is causing it? The effects that it has on theearth and its inhabitants? Address possible solutions to lessen the growth of climate change. According to NASA: "Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the acidity of surface ocean waters has increased by about 30 percent. This increase is the result of humans emitting more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and hence more being absorbed into the oceans. The amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by the upper layer of the oceans is increasing by about...show more content... Earth's climate is always changing. Many factors can contribute to the cause of changes in Earth's energy. Some changes in climate change are natural. It includes changes in Earth's orbit and the amount of energy coming from the sun. Also, ocean changes and volcanic eruptions are natural causes of climate change. When climate change occurs; there is increase in temperature. When temperature rises, unusual changes occur on Earth. For example, it can result into more floods, droughts, or intense rain, as well as severe heat waves. Oceans and glaciers have also experienced some changes. According to NASA: Sea levels have risen 3 inches and extreme weather in the U.S. has increased by 30 percent. In Greenland and Antarctica, ice sheets have lost 4.9 trillion tons of ice. In addition, human also partake in activities that help destroy the planet. Over the past century global warming trend is also caused by human expansion of the "greenhouse effect"– warming that occurs when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward space. Gases in the atmosphere block heat from escaping. This is called the greenhouse effect. However, while greenhouse gases increase, the climate changes and result into effects that is dangerous to human health and ecosystems. The gases that have an influence on the atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. We have one World, one chance, why do we choose to waste it. Hello ladies, gentlemen, and judges. Today I'm coming to speak to you about one very urgent matter, climate change. Now bear with me here, I'm assuming that everyone here is aware of climate change if not you will. Climate change is the change of the average temperature in earth's atmosphere and oceans. Now earth's temperature is always changing and will continue to change, but the way we're going it's not for the better. Now I'm sure at least one of you have heard a politician or someone like that saying climate change isn't actually true it's a hoax, I'm here to prove that wrong. Now it's easy to remain ignorant but at this point, we must face the truth, the facts are there. Now let us begin. The sea...show more content... Annual arctic sea ice, at the end of every summer the ice reaches its minimum length leaving a perennial ice cover. That cover is slowly becoming smaller since 1979 meaning was getting less ice but this doesn't just affect us, it affects all arctic animals and sea creature. Recent satellite information revealed that the lower parts of Greenland's ice sheet have been thinning. Even if a small part were to melt the sea levels would rise 3 feet, now it may not seem like much but it makes all the differences. If we continue like this the whole lower half will melt and sea levels will rise 16–24 feet, flooding a good portion of Miami, New Orleans and all there surrounding islands, most of Amsterdam, the coast of Norwich and England, George town, Macapa and other coastal Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Persuasive Speech On Climate Change Persuasive Speech Outline Don't Ignore Climate Change Purpose : To persuade my audience to change their perception on climate change. Thesis : Climate change is a controversial topic that some believe to be fake. Studies show that climate change is a real danger going on around us. These studies uncover what the future holds for humanity. As humans it is our moral duty to do what is right by earth, that has been our home for millions of years. 1. Attention A. Read quote by the 8th Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki–moon, "We are the first generation to be able to end poverty, and the last generation that can take steps to avoid the cost impacts of climate change. Future generations will judge us harshly If we fail to uphold our moral and historical responsibilities. B. Climate change, many of you have probably heard about it its also referred as global warming. Climate change definition :is the change of a regions usual weather. Climate change is something we should take seriously and this is why. 2. Needs There are many problems that come with climate change that are currently affecting us and the plant right now. A. The first problem is that the earth is warming or global warming. The earths temperature is recorded all around the world. Scientists have been recording the increasing temperatures for the past century. These records show that the earths temperature have risen more than 1.71 degree Fahrenheit between 1880 and 2016. • 6. The Natural And Natural Causes Of Global Warming Introduction What is global warming? Global warming is the average temperature of Earth has increases since 1950 until now the temperature continuing increasing. Global warming can also refers to climate change that causes an increase in the average of temperature. However global warming are causes by natural events and human that are believed to be contribute to increase in average temperatures. Causes of Global Warming Global warming is a serious issue and is not a single issue but a number of environmental issues. Global warming is a rise in the surface temperature of the earth that has changed various life forms on the earth. The issues that cause global warming are divided into two categories include "natural" and "human influences" of global warming. Natural Causes of Global Warming The climate has continuously changing for centuries. The global warming happens because the natural rotation of the sun that changes the intensity of sunlight and moving closer to the earth. Another cause of global warming is greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide it trap the solar heats rays and prevent it from escaping from the surface of the earth. This has cause the temperature of the earth increase. Volcanic eruptions are another issue that causes global warming. For instance, a single volcanic eruption will release amount ofcarbon dioxide and ash to the atmosphere. Once carbon dioxide increase, the temperature of earth increase and greenhouse trap the solar radiations in the earth. Finally, methane is another issue that causes global warming. Methane is also a greenhouse gas. Methane is more effective in trapping heat in the atmosphere that carbon dioxide by 20 times. Usually methane gas can release from many areas. For instance, it can be from cattle, landfill, natural gas, petroleum systems, coal mining, mobile explosion, or industrial waste process. Human Influences on Global Warming Human influence has been a very serious issue now because human do not take care the earth. Human that cause global warming are more than natural causes global warming. The earth has been changing for many years until now it is still changing because of modern lifestyle of human. • 7. Essay on The Threat of Global Warming The Threat of Global Warming Through the eyes of most scientists, global warming is seen as a very serious and severe threat. The actions taken by humans, such as industry and consumption of fossil fuels plus the increase in population and agriculture have played a big part in global warming. If something is not done soon the results could be very bad. By the middle of the twenty first century, there is evidence that the Earth will be warmer than it has been at any time in human history, and quite possibly since the end of the dinosaurs, some 65 billion years ago. If we stay at the rate we are now (fossil fuel consumption / growth in population) then within the next two century the Earth's air might not be fit to breath. Many...show more content... These gases are carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, nitrous oxide, and water vapor. The main contributor to the greenhouse effect and global warming is carbon dioxide. The atmosphere contains over 700 billion tons of carbon in the form of carbon dioxide. Currently, humans burn more than 5 billion tons of fossil fuel carbon each year, all of it going into the atmosphere in the form of carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide. In addition, deforestation and subsequent burning and decay add another 1.5 billion tons. Scientists feel that about 40 percent of the carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is taken up by the oceans or plant growth. The remaining 60 percent stays in the atmosphere, and is responsible for the .4 to .5 percent yearly growth in carbon dioxide concentrations. Methane is also another major greenhouse gas that is growing significantly more and more each year. Methane is a gas that is naturally produced from decomposition of plant material and enteric fermentation in animals. Scientists say that the growth of methane is from a combination of increases in petroleum, natural gas, coal, rice farming, and increases in the population of domestic farm animals throughout the world. Nitrous oxide is just slightly increasing each year due to fossil fuel combustion and soil fertilization. Emissions from fossil fuel combustion also react to form ozone in the troposphere. Ozone acts like Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 9. Thesis Statement : Global Warming Thesis Statement: Global warming is a growing concern of scientists and researchers who believe that it is a serious problem for our planet. The concerns and research have also been questioned and have even been called myths. Millions of people find themselves affected by these weather pattern changes and are concerned for their futures. Activists on both sides of the argument are very passionate and not afraid to attack each other in every way they can. There are many questions that are still not answered, however, we continue to see drastic weather changes to Earth. We must go beyond the arguments and learn as much as we can to stop what could possibly lead to the destruction of our planet, our way of life and our future. Global warming is concerned with an average increase in the temperature of the atmosphere and the increase in the Earth 's surface temperature primarily due to the emission of greenhouse gases from the burning of fossil fuels. As for the processes of global warming, they can occur from a variety of causes. The causes include the things that are concerned with natural and human factors. Some people believe that global warming is a myth or hoax. They believe that global warming is being used to generate fear and panic and that those behind this movement are using it to control people 's lives and for financial gain. • 10. Persuasive Speech On Global Warming Our planet faces a future of extreme weather so whether you call it Global Warming or Climate Change the effects are the same. We have seen our planet is getting hotter and increasing the chances of weather disasters. We have witnessed record heat, droughts, severe storms, and fire already. When connecting the dots between climate change and the effects we are seeing with the weather and health, the lines are clear. Our Earth is saying something but it is up to us to listen and pay attention to the signs. But why should we care about one degree of warming? After all, the temperature fluctuates by many degrees every day where we live. I will explain this all to you. People have claimed that the earth is going through a natural phase and in part that is true, but we also have to look at the evidence that we have sped it up and made the Carbon Dioxide levels rise that much more and faster. To look at these changes scientists have sent out satellites to measure the fluctuations in the sun's energy. The historical record shows that the climate system varies naturally over a wide range of time scales. These variations have been small in comparison to human influences in the past several centuries. This means that the humans, since the industrial age, have produced six billion tons of carbon dioxide from the factories that have been built. The main component that was burnt was coal which was one of the main sources of energy. The global average temperature increased by more Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Without this layer of gases the Earth would be too cold to be inhabited, perhaps 20 degrees cooler than now. But, then amount of gases in this layer must remain constant. Even a slight increase could have drastic results. Many people believe that a one degree increase in the temperature will not cause much harm. The truth is with every degree of increase in temperature a 100 more wildlife species are put in danger of extinction. Numerous experiments and studies prove that an increased level of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, is causing climate change and causing it fast. 2) Human Activities A) Burning of fossil fuels–This is the most prominent and deadly source of climate change. Burning of fossil fuels can release greenhouse gases ranging from carbon dioxide to ammonia. With massive industrialization currently going on, the amount of fossil fuels burned is increasing. Transport and heating are also major energy sources. Almost 7 giga tonnes of Carbon dioxide is emitted per year. In the U.K three–fourths of energy produced comes from fossil fuels. Mineral fuels like petroleum and coal are major sources of energy. In the last 150 years more than 45 Billion tonnes of carbon dioxide has been emitted .The most problematic factor is that in the last decade; there has been no slowdown in carbon emissions. B) Poor use of land–Plants are the only natural purifiers of air and also the most abundant. But, many trees

It is important that governments and people solve the Global Warming problem by decreasing buildings and greenhouses emissions, cutting down industrial waste heat, and encouraging people to use biofuel in their vehicles. Researchers have found the three main sources of Global Warming: human activities (that is caused by their daily activities and its impacts on people's lives) and natural factors (which are caused by the chemical and physical impacts of natural sources) (Roleff 57– 61). To be precise, there are two kinds of human sources such as heat and gases emissions that are produced from buildings and greenhouses and heat losses that come from power plants and factories. Buildings and greenhouses emissions are heat and gases emitted from any buildings and houses activities like air–conditioning, using gas for houses and buildings activities, the radiation that come from the electrical equipment. All these reasons have largely impacted the earth's weather due to increasing the proportion of carbon dioxide (Co2).
  • 14. Many researchers argue that buildings and greenhouses emissions offer some benefits to the earth's weather and environment because they believe that there is only a small amount of emissions in the earth's atmosphere which keep the balance of weather on the earth (Walker & King 12). The air–conditioning systems in summer absorb hot air from buildings and greenhouses and project it directly into Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Have you ever thought that pollution is like cancer for the mother earth? I am here to talk to you about better way of lifestyle that changes the whole future of our planet regarding pollution and global warming. "CO2 gas emissions" is a mystical term which everyone should pay attention to. C02 gas is a colorless, odorless gas that is present in the atmosphere and is formed when any fuel containing carbon is burned. Plants and trees are using it in the process of photosynthesis. Carbon dioxide is also used in refrigeration, fire extinguishers, and carbonated drinks. In other words this is the gas we need to fight with! By using fossil fuels in almost everything we do, we make a huge cloud of gas and this is warming up the world. By doing this, we cause serious damage to the nature and we may have an irreversible effect on it and the future. As you now understand that we need to fight with it, I am going to tell you some ways to do it. First of all, reduce the time you are in the car and use your legs to move .Use Bikes! People are getting lazier as time goes, but you can make the change. If you walk more, you help your planet and you help yourself, so why not to do it? Take care about your garden. Those are the filters of our caused high levels of gas. Mother nature knows how to cure the world, so let's help a little bit. Did you know that every 2 seconds a football field of forest is gone in the world? It takes minutes to destroy it,

Informative Speech On Climate Change Topic = Issue): Climate Change Title: Changing the Weather One Man–made Greenhouse Gas at a Time General Purpose: To Persuade Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to help reduce climate change that is causing severe weather by trying to help combat vampire electric devices in our homes. Thesis Statement/Central Idea: Climate change is a big problem in our world and we are the cause, because of our human–induced climate change we are causing extreme weather in the United States, one solution to this problem is stopping phantom energy, and we can visualize that by simply unplugging devices when we turn them off. Introduction I. (Attention Getter) 2016 was a record setting year for climate change. The first six months were the warmest that have ever been recorded in the modern temperature record which has been around since the 1800s. In this six–month period, the temperature was up an average of 2.4 degrees Fahrenheit in comparison with the late 19th century. II. (Reveal Specific Purpose) In this speech I am going to show my audience that if they unplug their devices once they are done using them they can reduce the amount of Carbon Dioxide that is released from coal power plants. III. (Relate Topic to Audience) We all share this Earth together and we are all destroying it together and I do not know about you but I am enjoying my time here and I would like future generations to be able to enjoy it as well. • 20. Global Warming Essay Tarah Pritchett Mr. Garner 3AP Comp ESA 10 November 2014 Global Warming Essay The idea of global became prevalent when the world began industrializing. As the popularity of cars grew and industrial factories began to spring up the air quality suffered. The problem was not recognized because, aside from a few orange skies, there were no obvious effects. Although in this day and age we can see what global warming is doing to our Earth, there are still those people who believe that humans are too small to make an impact. Global warming is too often put on the back burner, and things that seem to be more important are made priority. However global warming is tied back to those things that seem to be a priority. The Earth is our home and...show more content... Although winters still exist, every ice shelf has not melted, and we still have "La NiГ±a" years, the ultimate trend shows that the Earth is getting warmer. The question is, what is causing this overall increase in temperature? The answer is that humans are adding excess carbon dioxide to the atmosphere and "Climate scientists are quite sure that if we keep adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, that will trap more heat in the Earth's surface and the global average temperature will continue to rise over time." (Brad Plumer). Carbon dioxide is a large factor in the climate change but it is not the only cause. Other things that effect the Earth's temperature are natural events such as "El NiГ±o and La NiГ±a cycles...volcanoes... air pollution. There are changes in solar activity and so forth." (Brad Plumer). Although humans are not the only cause of global warming we are making the climate change more drastic. Since we live on this planet it is important for us to take care of it, so that whatever nature throws at us will not be the end on humanity. "The IPCC says that heavy precipitation events in the Northern Hemisphere are expected to increase as the planet heats up. But that prediction is for all seasons, not just winter..." What this means is that is there will be extreme weather conditions; it will be raining heavily in one part of the world and another part experience an intense drought. Through the industrial revolution, a growth in the size of the population, and our daily activities, are releasing green house gases. Green house gases affect the earth by, absorbing the reflection of sunlight once it hits the earth. This causes the atmosphere, the oceans, and the surface of the land to warm up. b. • 24. Global Warming Is A Threat Essay Global warming has been a controversial issue since the first publication of global warming, "Worlds in the Making," by Svante Arrhenius in 1896. This topic is discussed in multiple areas of life, including politics, at the dinner table, and among scientists in a laboratory. The various viewpoints of individuals usually lead to a heated discussion on global warming, and sometimes ignites an intense argument. Through research and discussions with various people, I have come to the belief that global warming is a real threat and needs to dealt with accordingly. Through act of emitting extra carbon into the atmosphere, whether through burning fossil fuels or deforestation, humans have inadvertently raised the average climate temperature over the last 200 years. Many pieces of evidence support the claim that global warming is a significant issue today. The first key piece of evidence I will discuss is the release of carbon into Earth's atmosphere. Since the introduction of fossil fuels, which are the main source of energy on Earth, the average temperature has increased slowly over the last 200 years, eventually amassing to a crucial level ("Global Warming"). The second piece of evidence is the rapid speed of the melting of the polar ice caps. Multiple satellite images have proven that the coasts of Antarctica are receding at a much faster pace than in recent history (Conway). This retreat can cause many dire situations for our future generations to come, including sea level to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 25. Rhetorical Analysis For Global Warming Global Warming is a huge problem for the environment. The earth's temperature has risen about 1–degree Fahrenheit since 1900 the temperatures are continuing to rise setting record temperature (Biello). This image is a public service announcement to turn off lights because it is a cause to global warming. In the image a penguin is pulling on a plug to turn out a light. This image evokes an emotional response because it has a baby penguin looking scared behind its mom, while the ice they are on is melting. It also illustrates a point that leaving lights on can cause global warming because it states it in the text. The light shining on the penguins looks like it is melting the ice they are standing on. I selected this image because it caught my eye and then made me read the text, which shows that it is an effective PSA. I also think global warming is a problem and I did not know that leaving lights on made such a big impact. This image can be analyzed by looking at the six rhetorical factors: character and action, setting, point of view, use of color, special effects, and image presentation. First, the characters and action in this advertisement make a large impact on this image. The penguins are struggling and are fearful for their lives. The animal's facial expressions express how they are distressed that the light is causing the ice they are standing on to melt. This displays how much of a problem global warming is and how we should be more fearful of the impact it is making in the colder climates. One sources states "Specifically, more than two–thirds of Antarctica's emperor penguin colonies will decline by more than 50 percent by the end of the century under future climate change scenarios" (Palermo). This shows that global warming is truly hurting the penguins and many other animals similar. The picture suggests an action to turn off lights to help reduce the pollution. Second, the setting of the image takes place somewhere cold, which is the main area affected by global warming. The penguins are standing on a block of ice symbolizing the Arctic and the block of ice is melting. "The Science Daily reports that ice melting rates were 25 times higher than expected in localized areas of Antarctica's largest Get more content on HelpWriting.net
