Wildlife Conservation Persuasive Essay
Persuasive speech
"Oil drilling and coal mining are killing endangered wildlife, polluting rivers, creating smog over wilderness areas and blocking wildlife corridors in
America's most treasured landscapes." Said conservation expert Lydia Millet. People are a main part of animal extinction. Endangered species are
critical to our ecosystem. Without them the world would be unstable. Some of these species are slowly fading away and we need to defend them. The
question people are asking is should we do more to save and defend animals, well I believe that that everyone should take measures to help benefit the
survival of threatened animals. In this passage you will learn why species are endangered,...show more content...
Anyway at least some are trying to help by working at wildlife conservation and some states bare making wildlife corridors. Some people are even
taking the time starting foundations to raise money to save these animals. There are other things that are helping save these animals like laws and
polices ( to protect wildlife conservations), habitat restoration, and habitat reservation. "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals
are treated." Said Mahatma Gandhi. This is why everyone should help.
You may expect that it is necessary to devote your time money and energy into saving endangered animals, but you are mistaken. There are some
simple things you can do to help such as recycling ( I mean thats not that hard), use less energy, choose sustainable products, clean up your actions, but
more important make your voice heard, get involved, and spread the word it's that easy.
I believe that everyone should take part in saving these animals. After listening to me you know why species are endangered, what is being done to
save them, and how you can help. Endangered species have a great impact on our lives and we need them to thrive, so remember you can

Importance Of Wildlife Conservation
My environmental issue is Wildlife Conservation. Animals are being closed in the corner of extinction every single day. I personally think that
animals are one of the most important things in this world. If certain animals go extinct, our balance of the food chain will flop over on itself.
Wildlife doesn't only satisfy to wild animals but to also insects, fungi, plants, and birds. Microscopic organisms too, For not only to balance the food
chain but to also balance the ecological balance on the planet. Almost every single plant, animal, and marine species are as important as we are to the
earth.
Why I think Wildlife Conservation is so important is because it's important to not only animals but also to us. It is very important to protect...show more

A great number of plants and animals help out humans themselves, making medicines such as penicillin, morphine, aspirin, and vincristine have been
from uncultivated plants. Oil from the liver of a cod fish is highly rich in Omega 3 and omega 6, those antioxidants help fight aging. The chemicals
from lobsters and shrimp are used in the treatment of fungal infections.
One big reason that us humans need to care is because animals affect our lives too Different animals are being researched to find cures to alzheimer's,
different types of cancers, and Parkinson's disease. If we don't keep track of our wildlife, soon the human population will be in grave danger.
Wildlife also has a big part in keeping our environment healthy and clean. Bacteria, slime molds, fungi and earthworms. Though they seem dirty they
actually are very good for the ground! They eat on animal and plant waste, by slowly decomposing and releasing all their chemicals back into the
earth's soil.
Just to name a couple of animals that are on the close verge of extinction here are a few: Black Rhino, Cross River Gorilla, Hawksbill Turtle, and the
Amur leopards. There are way too many to count and we're losing dozens of endangered species every single day. The black rhinos were killed around
five to six a day for food for hunters, or just for fun. Most european settlers, considered rhinos as useless and a waste of space. Killing them whenever.

Animals And Wildlife Conservation
Animals are put in captivity for animal conservation, and to educate the public about how important it is to keep these animals alive. It is often
argued that zoos are a bad place to put animals, but studies have shown how endangered animals are better off in a zoo environment. Animals that go
extinct in the wild around the world are shown to have a successful life in zoos. Even though some zoos have a bad reputation, they are actually really
beneficial for wildlife conservation. The purpose of a zoo is to conserve animal life, but instead, zoos are being used for people's entertainment rather
than educational purposes (Keulartz 2015). Zoos protect animal species, especially endangered animals, from other harmful and poisonous species.
Zoos are full of reptiles, amphibians, mammals, etc. Zoos also give people a chance to see animals they might not ever get to see out in the wild.
Zookeepers have to go through a specific learning process on how to treat the animals correctly, and how to care for them.
Wildlife conservation is the practice of protecting plants and animal species and their habitats that are in the wild (Merriam Webster). Many people
do not see wildlife conservation as a very big problem because it is not something that is talked about often, or taught about. Wildlife conservation is
important because it attempts to protect all endangered species throughout the world, and to preserve their natural habitat. As humans, it is important
for us to learn about animal conservation so we can prevent animal species from going extinct. A good place to learn about conserving animals is
going to the zoo. By bringing people and zoos together, people learn more about zoos and the animals that are inside. People also gain an appreciation
for animals and their habitats.
Many zoos have breeding programs for endangered species. In the wild, they would have a hard time trying to mate and breed because of not being
able to find the right species. Zoos provide a better habitat so the animals do not get bored, are well cared for, and have enough space. Captive
breeding programs are focused on breeding endangered animals, meaning captivity is the only chance some animals have at survival. When an
endangered species is

Assignment On Wildlife Conservation
Assignment – Wildlife and conservation
The main goals of wildlife conservation are to preserve and protect nature so that it will be around for future generations of both wildlife and humans to
enjoy. It is essentially the attempt to protect endangered animal and plant species and their natural habitats. In researching two different vertebrate
species in the United Kingdom, one that has benefitted from a population increase in recent years and one that has recently seen a decline in
population, the similarities and differences in the various challenges that they face can be investigated. The proposed solutions to improve the situation
for the declining species will then be discussed.
The UK population of the greater horseshoe bat, Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, has significantly increased over the last twenty years (Bat Conservation
Trust, 2017). This recent success can be attributed to many factors such as the change in climate providing a more favourable environment for
populations to grow. The increased temperatures in the spring season result in pups being born earlier in the year and a greater abundance of
sustenance being available (Froidevaux et al, 2017). Females will mate from autumn until spring visiting various breeding territories in doing so. This
enables the females that rarely change colonies, to strengthen their colonies by choosing the best possible genetic material to pass to their offspring
(Rossiter et al, 2000).

Wildlife Preservation
You hear about it all the time, and you read bout it in newspapers and magazines on how some nearby wildlife habitat is going to be torn up by an
army of machinery and turned into a Super Wall Mart with a parking lot that's big enough to fit five thousand cars. Is this really necessary? Is there a
need to take every last bit of our wildlife at the expense of our capitalist society? It seems that humanity's interactions with wildlife has been based on
ignorance and the self–interest of the persons involved. The termination of wildlife and it habitats must be reversed for the sake of all of us, the land
and wildlife, and future generations to come. If you are a true believer in the preservation of wildlife,...show more content...
Another charity organization is the Wildlife Preservation Trust Canada.
"Wildlife Preservation Trust Canada is a dynamic non–profit charitable organization devoted to saving highly endangered animal species facing
extinction in Canada and internationally. This is accomplished through focused species conservation and professional training programs,
complemented by education and outreach programs." (http://www.wptc.org/) It's plain to see that there are people out in our society that don't think
twice about what happens to their ecosystem and wildlife when hundreds if not thousands of acres of land are being destroyed for the grounds of a
mall that's being built within miles of yet another mega–complex shopping center. And there are those who do care about wildlife preservation and get
involved with local organizations for preservation for generations to come. The people at Green Peace, one of the most recognized wildlife
organization have come together to form a group of peacemakers looking out for the environment. "In 1971, motivated by their vision of a green and
peaceful world, a small team of activists set sail from Vancouver, Canada, in an old fishing boat. These activists, the founders ofGreenpeace, believed a
few individuals could make a difference."Their mission statement reads: "Greenpeace is an independent, campaigning organization that uses

Also, when the deer population is too high, farmers crops become damaged by the deer, as well as there are more deer killings by car ("Deer" par.

keeping one species in its own habitat and preventing it from expanding into habitats that are not its own. Species who manage to do this are called
invasive species. Species such as the Lionfish. Lionfish are not a native species to the Atlantic Ocean. They are a venomous, fast reproducing fish
that are aggressive eaters and will eat almost anything in copious amounts. They eat so much that they will actual become obese and contract liver
diseases. They have no know predators, besides humans. Because they have no predators, once introduced to a reef, they can wipe out 90% of it. "The
lionfish invasion is probably the worst environmental disaster the Atlantic will ever face" said Graham Maddocks, president and founder of Ocean
Support Foundation ("Lionfish" Par. 3). Lionfish are especially dangerous to ecosystems, because the native aquatic life–forms do not have a natural
instinct to be wary of the lionfish. Some may wonder, "how did the lionfish become introduced to the Atlantic ocean?". Well, Florida pet owners are to
blame. Lionfish are most known for their beauty, which makes them valuable as pets. However, they are violent fish and tend to attack and kill other
fish in the

The Negative Impacts Of Wildlife Conservation
Nature provides people with everything they need to survive, but humans have a negative impact on nature which affects both humans and animals.
Wildlife conservation is very important because if humans allow plant and animal species to go extinct at the rate they are now, many species will be
lost and life on earth would fall apart. Conserving species helps maintain biodiversity which helps slow down extinction rates. Animals that have
diverse genetics allow them to evolve and adapt to changing environments (Paterson). Nature is not here just for us, so humans should help to preserve
it or at least decrease extinction rates. Every organism has a role in an ecosystem and all of them are important to maintain balance (Marshall).
Indicator species might forewarn human health as well because if there is something in an environment, like a toxin or a hazardous substance, it can
also be harmful to humans (Chevalier). Indicator species can show us how an ecosystem is doing and if it is healthy or not (Paterson). Saving one
species from extinction can solve other environmental problems. A good example is, wolf populations going down would cause reindeer populations
to skyrocket, causing there to be less vegetation for the reindeer and other animals. The lack of food would cause high death rates until wolf
populations increased (Stubblefield). Losing too many species can have a huge affect on humans because humans rely on nature for survival (Paterson).
Biodiversity is important

Effects Of Wildlife Conservation On Wildlife
Humans are not the only habitants of this earth so are the wildlife that surrounds us. We are in symbiosis relationship with the animals that are around
us. Due to the population boom of humans, we are at a constant clash between the natural world and the human world. When the habitats of these
animals are under severe pressure and a large number of species of wild fauna have become endangered, the significance of wildlife conservation
becomes urgent. The increase in human populations has had a negative effect on the wildlife population. Studies have shown that with an increase of
human population, there has been a steady decrease in wildlife population. This is due to more land being used by humans which in turn decreases or

extinct when exhaustive surveys in known and/or expected habitat. Extinct in the wild (EW) is when it is known only to survive in cultivation, in
captivity or as a naturalized population. Critically endangered (CE) considered to be facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild.
Endangered (EN), considered to be facing a very high risk of extinction in the wild. Vulnerable (VU) is when an observed, estimated, inferred or
suspected population size reduction of ≥ 50% over the last 10 years or three generations, whichever is the longer. Near threatened (NT) when it has
been evaluated against the criteria but does not qualify for Critically Endangered, Endangered or Vulnerable now, but is close to qualifying for or is
likely to qualify for a threatened category in the near future. Least concern (LC) is when it has been evaluated against the criteria and does not qualify
for Critically Endangered, Endangered, Vulnerable or Near Threatened. Widespread and abundant species are included in this category." The last two
categories are data deficient and not evaluated and both categories are of least concern due to thriving populations or populations that have not been

The crucial role of the Philippine government on wildlife conservation
Thesis Statement: The Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act (R.A. 9174) of the Philippines should be prioritized and reinstated because
of its failure to serve its purpose in the past, its ability to lessen the rising human–caused extinction rates, and its possible influence in restoring and
promoting action regarding wildlife conservation.
The loss of biodiversity and wildlife is becoming a larger problem every year yet most people disregard it and its consequences. Wildlife plays a big
part in maintaining environmental support to human life––serving as a source of food, contributing to agriculture, aiding in medical research, and many
more. The continued erosion of ecosystem and species diversity threatens the progress to a sustainable society and lessens the chances of stable
environmental conditions in the future. As the effects of human actions become more damaging to the environment and the situation of wildlife
worsens, the government must step up and introduce national policies for conservation....show more content...
9147 would be enforced properly, Philippine wildlife conservation may become more successful. The policy itself does not require modifications. It is
in the process of following its objectives that begs for reform. The government may start by changing current policies that allow and invite the misuse
of wildlife and other environmental resources. Aside from formulating environmental policies for conservation, the government should also consider
altering policies that motivate citizens to exploit the environment. Such policies are those which promote over–exploitation of forests, damaging
habitats for the purpose of urbanization, and the overuse of natural resources (Reid, Barber & Miller,

The Importance of Wildlife Conservation
Imagine a world with barren trees in overgrown fields. The only sound to be heard is the wind blowing through the tall grass. A world once full of
life now lays empty do to extinction. This is the result of a world that failed to understand the importance of wildlife conservation. Why is wildlife so
important? What steps need to be taken to preserve wildlife? How can one become involved in wildlife conservation? These are all important
questions that need to be explored in order to help maintain the delicate ecosystem on Earth. Wildlife plays a vital role in this fragile ecosystem and
without wildlife the human race would not survive. The initial step in wildlife conservation is understanding why wildlife is vital to the ecosystem in the

According to David Stauth, towards the end of the "1800s" humans began to eradicate the wolf population in the Yellowstone area. (David Stauth)
By "1926" the wolf population was destroyed. (David Stauth) During the 1800s and 1900s the West was popular for cattle ranches. Ranchers saw
the wolves as pests destroying their profits due to the wolves feeding on the cattle. Thus began the beginning of the collapse of an ecosystem. With
wolves missing from the ecosystem everything became greatly unbalanced leading to a domino effect. No longer fearing the wolves, elk began to
freely graze which in turn began the destruction of foliage. The foliage destruction affected other animals that relied on the vegetation for sustenance
and shelter. With the lack of vegetation, animals begin migrating elsewhere for food and harborage. Not only were the wolves gone, other animals
began to either over populate or disappear along with the foliage. Hence the slow beginning of a land that would eventually become bare of life. One
can now understand why wildlife conservation is so important after learning the effects of simply removing one key element from the ecosystem. To
further this understanding of the importance of wildlife conservation observe the affects of reintroducing the wolves in Yellowstone . Beginning at the
end of "1994" and continuing

deals with all animals with backbones and studies individual species of wildlife, their habitats, and surrounding ecosystems (Fitzgerald). It also studies
how animals may interact with their ecosystem. Without wildlife biology we would not have extensive knowledge of other animal species, and how
they could be linked to humans. Wildlife conservation in the United States has been based on the Public Trust Doctrine where in wildlife and...show

The first national park, Yellow Stone National Park, was established in 1872 by Ulysses S. Grant (Brown). This was one of the last explored areas
in the west. This establishing of a national park led to more wildlife conservation national movements. In 1887 President Roosevelt gathered a
group of influential American hunters in New York to form the Boome and Crockett Club with a mission of preserving big game in North America
(Brown). In the 1930's management of wildlife resources began in earnest. Funds were mostly provided by levies on hunters (Brown). The 1930s
were also the beginning of wildlife research in the United States. The leader of this effort was Aldo Leopold (Brown). Wildlife biologists need many
years of schooling and hands on experience to become experts at their jobs. Altogether with bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees, it is close to
12–14 years. Each university is different in how many credit hours are needed. The areas are general biology, ecology, genetics, cellular biology,
evolution, wildlife management, and fisheries management (Everyday Life). Deciding on a school is based on what area I want to work in. If I
want to be a marine biologist, schools on the coasts of oceans are the best for me to go to. To become a wildlife biologist, colleges with programs
that focus on land mammals are the best option. One college that is very popular for this study is Texas A and M University. Texas A and M

Importance Of Wildlife Conservation
It is basically observed that Indian wildlife laws are not that effective but it is totally the opposite of what has been perceived. Rather India has much
more strong and stringent laws that prevails to wildlife conservation but it is totally imperative that conservationists aware themselves with these laws
so that it would be more effective to enforce these in the country. It is also important that people are aware about these laws so that they should know
that who controls the land or activity as to they are able to engage with the correct authorities and agencies.
The Indian Government has made legislations related to wildlife conservation and protection. Those are:
1)The Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 last amended in 2006:
This act is the one major legal statue that controls activities such as it prohibits hunting, securing the wildlife habitat, formation of protected areas,
control of trade of products generated from wildlife, establishment and regulation of zoos.
It also defines different types of protected areas that are:
a)National Parks
b)Wildlife Sanctuaries
c)Tiger Reserves
d)Conservation Reserves
e)Community Reserves
National parks and tiger reserves are dealt with more stringent laws and there is no intervention from any commercial or public activities in these
area. The grazing and collection of forest wood is only allowed on the discretion of the Chief Wildlife Warden and there needs to be a bona fide for
that activity that it is the need of themselves

Did you know that there are over one thousand endangered species of animals in the world as of today? Wildlife Conservation is the proceeding of
saving animal and plant species from becoming endangered. If they are already endangered, people set up ways to save the species from becoming
extinct. Extinction is when a species is no longer on Earth and the species will no longer be reproduced. In this essay we will discuss the issue of
Wildlife Endangerment caused by human activities, natural causes, and some ways that people are trying to fix the issue as a whole. Humans are
becoming an increasing problem on wildlife endangerment every single day. Our homes and cities take up many animal and plant habitats. When the
animals and plants lose their habitat they have nowhere else to go. The animals have to migrate away from the city's and houses which could be
very bad because they may not be suited to succeed in their new environment. The plants can't move away from the cities or houses so they usually
end up dieing because humans cut down trees and plants that stand in the way to make the houses and big buildings in the city. To make the houses
we need wood from trees as a building block for the structure of the building. Humans chop down whole forests in order to get the wood. This is
know as Tree Deforestation. In a forest there are an abundance of plants that live on the ground and even on the trees. There are also many species of
insects, reptiles, mammals, and birds that

The dynamic natural environment and abundant wildlife are the most prominent features of the African continent. Due to its wide variety of biomes
ranging from tropical forests to arid deserts, Africa consists of bountiful wildlife diversity. However, because of environmentally harmful human
interactions, the variety of biomes is shrinking to all–time lows, which causes wildlife to die out. These detrimental human interactions, particularly
livestock overgrazing and desertification, occur partly because the native people who depend on the land for daily life do not realize the potential
benefits of wildlife and the unsustainability of their current ways. Poaching for horns and other valuable animal parts has also contributed to the...show

Herding allowed people to extract previously unobtainable nutrients from their environment. Since humans could not directly digest the grasses that
existed in the savannas, the only way for them to take in the nutrients was to use cattle, which are capable of grazing or consuming grass, to convert it
into edible forms. By consuming the milk and meat that the cattle produced the people were able to fully exploit the resources available. This
pastoralist lifestyle was symbiotic with the agriculturalist lifestyle because the two communities traded goods with each other to maintain healthy diets.
Therefore, many civilizations, like Mapungubwe in southern Africa, depended on the mutual relationship between humans and domestic animals to
survive. This system was widely accepted due to its effectiveness and eventually became ingrained in African social and economic life. However,
because of the rapid increase in population in Africa over the last several centuries has led to severe overgrazing, which occurs when the grass doesn't
have sufficient time to recover before being consumed. This has led to desertification, one of the major causes of the decrease in African wildlife
populations. (Child Physical Environment, 2013)
Desertification is a process that degrades the natural environment to an unproductive state that cannot support the native wildlife communities. More
specifically, desertification involves land degradation

Wildlife Conservation In Evergland

  • 1. Wildlife Conservation In Evergland My Wildlife Conservation Essay By,Rayna Mathaun Plants and animals, both live in the environment, making it important to protect and preserve.First,we can care about the animals so they do not become extinct. Also in "Interrupted Journey" the story said that we should go take care about animals and maintain the animals so they do not become extinct quickly.Second, the environment needs to be clean and safe for habitats. In addition in "Everglades Forever" talks about the wetlands getting a Restoration plan to help preserve the wetlands.Third, we can preserve water, so the plants and the animals that live in the water might die. • 2. Wildlife Conservation Persuasive Essay Persuasive speech "Oil drilling and coal mining are killing endangered wildlife, polluting rivers, creating smog over wilderness areas and blocking wildlife corridors in America's most treasured landscapes." Said conservation expert Lydia Millet. People are a main part of animal extinction. Endangered species are critical to our ecosystem. Without them the world would be unstable. Some of these species are slowly fading away and we need to defend them. The question people are asking is should we do more to save and defend animals, well I believe that that everyone should take measures to help benefit the survival of threatened animals. In this passage you will learn why species are endangered,...show more content... Anyway at least some are trying to help by working at wildlife conservation and some states bare making wildlife corridors. Some people are even taking the time starting foundations to raise money to save these animals. There are other things that are helping save these animals like laws and polices ( to protect wildlife conservations), habitat restoration, and habitat reservation. "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated." Said Mahatma Gandhi. This is why everyone should help. You may expect that it is necessary to devote your time money and energy into saving endangered animals, but you are mistaken. There are some simple things you can do to help such as recycling ( I mean thats not that hard), use less energy, choose sustainable products, clean up your actions, but more important make your voice heard, get involved, and spread the word it's that easy. I believe that everyone should take part in saving these animals. After listening to me you know why species are endangered, what is being done to save them, and how you can help. Endangered species have a great impact on our lives and we need them to thrive, so remember you can Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Importance Of Wildlife Conservation My environmental issue is Wildlife Conservation. Animals are being closed in the corner of extinction every single day. I personally think that animals are one of the most important things in this world. If certain animals go extinct, our balance of the food chain will flop over on itself. Wildlife doesn't only satisfy to wild animals but to also insects, fungi, plants, and birds. Microscopic organisms too, For not only to balance the food chain but to also balance the ecological balance on the planet. Almost every single plant, animal, and marine species are as important as we are to the earth. Why I think Wildlife Conservation is so important is because it's important to not only animals but also to us. It is very important to protect...show more content... A great number of plants and animals help out humans themselves, making medicines such as penicillin, morphine, aspirin, and vincristine have been from uncultivated plants. Oil from the liver of a cod fish is highly rich in Omega 3 and omega 6, those antioxidants help fight aging. The chemicals from lobsters and shrimp are used in the treatment of fungal infections. One big reason that us humans need to care is because animals affect our lives too Different animals are being researched to find cures to alzheimer's, different types of cancers, and Parkinson's disease. If we don't keep track of our wildlife, soon the human population will be in grave danger. Wildlife also has a big part in keeping our environment healthy and clean. Bacteria, slime molds, fungi and earthworms. Though they seem dirty they actually are very good for the ground! They eat on animal and plant waste, by slowly decomposing and releasing all their chemicals back into the earth's soil. Just to name a couple of animals that are on the close verge of extinction here are a few: Black Rhino, Cross River Gorilla, Hawksbill Turtle, and the Amur leopards. There are way too many to count and we're losing dozens of endangered species every single day. The black rhinos were killed around five to six a day for food for hunters, or just for fun. Most european settlers, considered rhinos as useless and a waste of space. Killing them whenever. My final message to the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Animals And Wildlife Conservation Animals are put in captivity for animal conservation, and to educate the public about how important it is to keep these animals alive. It is often argued that zoos are a bad place to put animals, but studies have shown how endangered animals are better off in a zoo environment. Animals that go extinct in the wild around the world are shown to have a successful life in zoos. Even though some zoos have a bad reputation, they are actually really beneficial for wildlife conservation. The purpose of a zoo is to conserve animal life, but instead, zoos are being used for people's entertainment rather than educational purposes (Keulartz 2015). Many people do not see wildlife conservation as a very big problem because it is not something that is talked about often, or taught about. Wildlife conservation is important because it attempts to protect all endangered species throughout the world, and to preserve their natural habitat. As humans, it is important for us to learn about animal conservation so we can prevent animal species from going extinct. A good place to learn about conserving animals is going to the zoo. By bringing people and zoos together, people learn more about zoos and the animals that are inside. People also gain an appreciation for animals and their habitats. Many zoos have breeding programs for endangered species. In the wild, they would have a hard time trying to mate and breed because of not being able to find the right species. Zoos provide a better habitat so the animals do not get bored, are well cared for, and have enough space. Captive breeding programs are focused on breeding endangered animals, meaning captivity is the only chance some animals have at survival. • 5. Assignment On Wildlife Conservation Assignment – Wildlife and conservation The main goals of wildlife conservation are to preserve and protect nature so that it will be around for future generations of both wildlife and humans to enjoy. It is essentially the attempt to protect endangered animal and plant species and their natural habitats. In researching two different vertebrate species in the United Kingdom, one that has benefitted from a population increase in recent years and one that has recently seen a decline in population, the similarities and differences in the various challenges that they face can be investigated. The proposed solutions to improve the situation for the declining species will then be discussed. The UK population of the greater horseshoe bat, Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, has significantly increased over the last twenty years (Bat Conservation Trust, 2017). This recent success can be attributed to many factors such as the change in climate providing a more favourable environment for populations to grow. The increased temperatures in the spring season result in pups being born earlier in the year and a greater abundance of sustenance being available (Froidevaux et al, 2017). Females will mate from autumn until spring visiting various breeding territories in doing so. This enables the females that rarely change colonies, to strengthen their colonies by choosing the best possible genetic material to pass to their offspring (Rossiter et al, 2000). • 6. Wildlife Preservation Essay examples Wildlife Preservation You hear about it all the time, and you read bout it in newspapers and magazines on how some nearby wildlife habitat is going to be torn up by an army of machinery and turned into a Super Wall Mart with a parking lot that's big enough to fit five thousand cars. Is this really necessary? Is there a need to take every last bit of our wildlife at the expense of our capitalist society? It seems that humanity's interactions with wildlife has been based on ignorance and the self–interest of the persons involved. The termination of wildlife and it habitats must be reversed for the sake of all of us, the land and wildlife, and future generations to come. If you are a true believer in the preservation of wildlife,...show more content... Another charity organization is the Wildlife Preservation Trust Canada. And there are those who do care about wildlife preservation and get involved with local organizations for preservation for generations to come. The people at Green Peace, one of the most recognized wildlife organization have come together to form a group of peacemakers looking out for the environment. It is important to keep track of an animals population in order to make sure that the negative side affects do not occur. Sometimes it means keeping one species in its own habitat and preventing it from expanding into habitats that are not its own. Species who manage to do this are called invasive species. Species such as the Lionfish. Lionfish are not a native species to the Atlantic Ocean. They are a venomous, fast reproducing fish that are aggressive eaters and will eat almost anything in copious amounts. They eat so much that they will actual become obese and contract liver diseases. They have no know predators, besides humans. Because they have no predators, once introduced to a reef, they can wipe out 90% of it. "The lionfish invasion is probably the worst environmental disaster the Atlantic will ever face" said Graham Maddocks, president and founder of Ocean Support Foundation ("Lionfish" Par. 3). Lionfish are especially dangerous to ecosystems, because the native aquatic life–forms do not have a natural instinct to be wary of the lionfish. Some may wonder, "how did the lionfish become introduced to the Atlantic ocean?". Well, Florida pet owners are to blame. Lionfish are most known for their beauty, which makes them valuable as pets. However, they are violent fish and tend to attack and kill other fish in the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. The Negative Impacts Of Wildlife Conservation Nature provides people with everything they need to survive, but humans have a negative impact on nature which affects both humans and animals. Wildlife conservation is very important because if humans allow plant and animal species to go extinct at the rate they are now, many species will be lost and life on earth would fall apart. Conserving species helps maintain biodiversity which helps slow down extinction rates. Animals that have diverse genetics allow them to evolve and adapt to changing environments (Paterson). Nature is not here just for us, so humans should help to preserve it or at least decrease extinction rates. Every organism has a role in an ecosystem and all of them are important to maintain balance (Marshall). Indicator species might forewarn human health as well because if there is something in an environment, like a toxin or a hazardous substance, it can also be harmful to humans (Chevalier). Indicator species can show us how an ecosystem is doing and if it is healthy or not (Paterson). Saving one species from extinction can solve other environmental problems. A good example is, wolf populations going down would cause reindeer populations to skyrocket, causing there to be less vegetation for the reindeer and other animals. The lack of food would cause high death rates until wolf populations increased (Stubblefield). Losing too many species can have a huge affect on humans because humans rely on nature for survival (Paterson). Biodiversity is important Get more content on HelpWriting.net

We are in symbiosis relationship with the animals that are around us. Due to the population boom of humans, we are at a constant clash between the natural world and the human world. When the habitats of these animals are under severe pressure and a large number of species of wild fauna have become endangered, the significance of wildlife conservation becomes urgent. The loss of biodiversity and wildlife is becoming a larger problem every year yet most people disregard it and its consequences. Wildlife plays a big part in maintaining environmental support to human life––serving as a source of food, contributing to agriculture, aiding in medical research, and many more. What steps need to be taken to preserve wildlife? How can one become involved in wildlife conservation? According to David Stauth, towards the end of the "1800s" humans began to eradicate the wolf population in the Yellowstone area. (David Stauth) By "1926" the wolf population was destroyed. (David Stauth) During the 1800s and 1900s the West was popular for cattle ranches. Ranchers saw the wolves as pests destroying their profits due to the wolves feeding on the cattle. Thus began the beginning of the collapse of an ecosystem. With wolves missing from the ecosystem everything became greatly unbalanced leading to a domino effect. No longer fearing the wolves, elk began to freely graze which in turn began the destruction of foliage. The foliage destruction affected other animals that relied on the vegetation for sustenance and shelter. With the lack of vegetation, animals begin migrating elsewhere for food and harborage. Not only were the wolves gone, other animals began to either over populate or disappear along with the foliage. Hence the slow beginning of a land that would eventually become bare of life. One can now understand why wildlife conservation is so important after learning the effects of simply removing one key element from the ecosystem. To further this understanding of the importance of wildlife conservation observe the affects of reintroducing the wolves in Yellowstone . Rather India has much more strong and stringent laws that prevails to wildlife conservation but it is totally imperative that conservationists aware themselves with these laws so that it would be more effective to enforce these in the country. It is also important that people are aware about these laws so that they should know that who controls the land or activity as to they are able to engage with the correct authorities and agencies. The Indian Government has made legislations related to wildlife conservation and protection. Those are: 1)The Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 last amended in 2006: This act is the one major legal statue that controls activities such as it prohibits hunting, securing the wildlife habitat, formation of protected areas, control of trade of products generated from wildlife, establishment and regulation of zoos. It also defines different types of protected areas that are: a)National Parks b)Wildlife Sanctuaries c)Tiger Reserves d)Conservation Reserves e)Community Reserves National parks and tiger reserves are dealt with more stringent laws and there is no intervention from any commercial or public activities in these area. • 16. Did you know that there are over one thousand endangered species of animals in the world as of today? Wildlife Conservation is the proceeding of saving animal and plant species from becoming endangered. If they are already endangered, people set up ways to save the species from becoming extinct. Extinction is when a species is no longer on Earth and the species will no longer be reproduced. In this essay we will discuss the issue of Wildlife Endangerment caused by human activities, natural causes, and some ways that people are trying to fix the issue as a whole. Humans are becoming an increasing problem on wildlife endangerment every single day. Our homes and cities take up many animal and plant habitats. When the animals and plants lose their habitat they have nowhere else to go. The animals have to migrate away from the city's and houses which could be very bad because they may not be suited to succeed in their new environment. The plants can't move away from the cities or houses so they usually end up dieing because humans cut down trees and plants that stand in the way to make the houses and big buildings in the city. To make the houses we need wood from trees as a building block for the structure of the building. Humans chop down whole forests in order to get the wood. This is know as Tree Deforestation. In a forest there are an abundance of plants that live on the ground and even on the trees. There are also many species of insects, reptiles, mammals, and birds that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Due to its wide variety of biomes ranging from tropical forests to arid deserts, Africa consists of bountiful wildlife diversity. However, because of environmentally harmful human interactions, the variety of biomes is shrinking to all–time lows, which causes wildlife to die out. These detrimental human interactions, particularly livestock overgrazing and desertification, occur partly because the native people who depend on the land for daily life do not realize the potential benefits of wildlife and the unsustainability of their current ways.
