This document describes an aircraft anti-collision system using Zigbee communication. The system uses an Arduino microcontroller, Zigbee modules, ultrasonic sensors, an LCD display, LEDs, and a buzzer. The ultrasonic sensors detect the distance to nearby aircraft and this information is transmitted via Zigbee modules and displayed on the LCD screens of both aircraft to alert pilots. The system aims to help pilots avoid collisions by informing them about approaching aircraft. It has advantages like considering all threats but is limited by only detecting aircraft in one direction. Potential applications include widespread use in airlines to improve aircraft safety.

3. Aim
The main aim of these project to detect the aircraft approaching nearer to
avoid collision. When nearer aircraft detected, the information of both aircrafts
were displayed on the LCD. By these pilot can move to safe direction to avoid
collision.
4. Software
The open-source Arduino Software (IDE) makes it easy to write code and
upload it to the board.
The Arduino integrated development environment is a cross-platform
application that is written in the programming language Java. It is used to
write and upload programs to Arduino compatible boards.

6. Hardware Description
1. Microcontroller
We have used ATMEG328P controller (i.e
ARDUINO UNO)
It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6
can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog
inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB
connection, a power jack, an ICSP header,
and a reset button.
Specfications :
SRAM: 2 KB (ATmega328)
EEPROM: 1 KB (ATmega328)
Clock speed: 16 MHz
7. 2. ZIGBEE Module
HC-12 wireless serial port communication module is
a new-generation multichannel embedded wireless
data transmission module.
This module cannot work individually, at least 2pcs
would be needed to create the communication.
Specifications:
Supply voltage: 3.2V
Serial baud rate: 1.2Kbps to 115.2Kbps(default 9.6Kbps)
Receiving sensitivity: -117dBm to -100dBm
Transmit power: -1dBm to 20dBm
8. 3. Ultrasonic Sensor
An ultrasonic sensor generates the high-frequency sound
(ultrasound) waves. When this ultrasound hits the object, it
reflects as echo which is sensed by the receiver as shown in
below figure.
Total distance= 343 x time of high (echo) pulse
2
Specifications:
Working Current − 15mA
Ranging Distance − 2cm – 400 cm
Measuring Angle − 30 degree
9. 4. LCD (LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY)
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen is an electronic
display module and find a wide range of
applications.
A 16x2 LCD display is very basic module and is
very commonly used in various devices and circuits.
A 16x2 LCD means it can display 16 characters per
line and there are 2 such lines.
Specifications:
Power Supply : -0.3v (MIN) and -7.0v (MAX)
Input Voltage (VDD): +5v
10. 5. LED lights and Buzzer
LEDs are available in a variety of sizes and shapes
including the 5mm LED.
The 5mm LED can be used anywhere where you need low
power, high-intensity reliable lighting or indication.
A buzzer is a small yet efficient component to add
sound features to our project/system. It is very small
and compact 2-pin structure hence can be easily used
on breadboard or Gcbs.
17. CONCLUSION
Hence we have designed and implemented successfully the
Aircraft anti collision system using ZIGBEE in embedded systems. Use
of ZIGBEE Module in place of heavy radar system will be helpful in
reducing the complexity as well as the maintenance of the system. Due
to the transmission of the aircraft parameters through a module to the
base station leads to major improvement in Aircraft safety.
