Haines Mfg. is a full service, custom fabrication shop. They machine and weld large and
small parts. Most work done with steel.
I took the lead on all projects. I went over the blueprints and instructed my co-workers on
what needed to be done. I set up hydraulic and mechanical presses and saws. I was in
charge of setting up welding fixtures and sometimes welding machines. I also supervised
work and inspected final product. I also loaded and unloaded trucks using a forklift.

Con Agra is a food company. The Con Agra I worked out was focused on popcorn
manufacturing.
I started as an assembly worker on the jiffy pop line. My supervisor was impressed with my
work ethic. He also was happy with how quickly I learned. I was soon promoted to
machine operator.
As a machine operator I would load material in the machines, clear jams, and inspect the
product coming out. I also performed routine maintenance on the machines. I was in charge
of keeping the machines clean before, during, and after my shift.

Todco Door is a division of Overhead Door. They manufacture trailer doors for
semi-trucks.
I started as a float, helping wherever needed. After a short time a position opened up on the
wood line for a few days. I learned how to operate the machine very quickly and set new
shift and department records for production by the 3rd day.
Operating the wood line included using a forklift and suction arm to get material. I also
entered measurements into a computer and changed parts on the line. I had to make sure all
sections were functioning correctly.

AHP (Associated Hygienic Products) is a hygiene product company. The division I worked
for made diapers. The company moved to Delaware, Ohio towards the end of my
employment.
I started out as a diaper packer (putting bags into a box). Soon I was bounced around to
different departments to fill in as an assistant machine operator on several types of
machines. This involved loading material, inspecting product, clearing jams, adjusting
speeds, keeping the machine running and over-seeing changeovers.
