WORK EXPERIENCE
Toolmaker, Maintenance Technician, Stamping, Manufacturing
Lansing Regional Stamping, General Motors. - Lansing, MI - August 2013 to Present
Responsibilities
Lansing Regional Stamping (LRS) is a progressive team build organization that utilizes team members to
rotate from task to task. Our team rotates daily in and out of fourteen/sixteen different jobs. Press operator (XL
Schuler 6500 ton transfer press), Crane operator (65 ton overhead trolley), Rigging, Die setting, Tool setting
and trouble shooting, Material handling using 6, 8 & 15+ ton forklifts, Racking, Tagging and Quality.
Accomplishments
Prior to working at Lansing Regional Stamping, I had never worked in pressed metal. I learned all of the jobs
including, the press, very quickly and efficiently and because of my commitment our team puts me on as team
leader when our team leader is on vacation or away from the job.
Skills Used
My Toolmaker skills made it very easy for me to learn and understand the press and the overall stamp metal
operation. My CNC skills related directly to the operation of the press and my machining skills have made it
easy for me to work with and communicate to our die repairmen when it comes to form-ability issues.
Assembly Line Worker/Material handling

delivering parts to the line and loading / unloading semi trucks.
2. Accomplishments
Learned how to driver a pull motor (tugger).
Learned how to load and unload semi trucks and operate dock equipment and dock doors.
Worked with many aspects of logistics - tagging trucks, docking, blocking and writing move orders.

Prior forklift experience, team concepts, the ability to work well with others.
Team Leader/Material Handler
Fort Wayne Truck Assembly - Roanoke, IN - December 2008 to March 2012
Responsibilities
Team Leader on the door line for 18 months and Material handling for 2 years. Responsibilities included:
assigning jobs, coordinating material, quality, repairs, problem solving, writing scrap tags, interfacing with
vendors, being a liaison between our group leader and the team, conducting daily huddle up meeting before
the start of the shift, chairing weekly team meetings using principles from General Motors version of Global
Manufacturing System (GMS) while being a team leader. When I worked in material handling I was responsible
for delivering parts to the line using a forklift and wireless computer.
Accomplishments
Every manufactures dream is having zero defects. Our team used, zero defects leaving our station, as a bench
mark. Although, our goal was not obtained everyday we met our challenge most days. As a team leader my trips
down the assembly line for a repair after the doors had been married back to the vehicles was so infrequent
it actually came as a surprise when I got a call.
As a forklift driver I learned how to drive very efficiently, rotate stock using FIFO and how to work with an
integrated computer inventory system.
Skills Used
My leadership philosophy is to treat people with dignity and respect and they will do the same for you. Our
team worked very well together to accomplish goals where other teams sometimes struggled. I feel this was
a reflection on the respect and trust we had for each other.
When working in maintenance, continuous improvement was the center of my responsibilities. I believe this
type of training carried over into the problem solving skills that were expected from a team leader.

along with my new grinding experience resulted in me getting asked to be on a machine qualification team
for purchasing and qualifying new equipment. I traveled to the Bryant Grinder Co. in Vermont with engineers
twice to help qualify and buy off new equipment. During this same time I also worked in engineering collecting
data for a new Brazilian project that was suppose to last six months that actually lasted eighteen months.
