2. What is teaching?
 Process in which one person makes
something known to another individual.
 Its function is to impart knowledge, develop
understanding and skill.
 In education, teaching is the concerted
sharing of knowledge and experience, which
is usually organized within a discipline and,
more generally, the provision of stimulus to
the psychological and intellectual growth of
a person by another person or artifact.
 Effective teaching: The ability to improve
student achievement, teacher effects on
student achievement.

3. What is Learning?
 Learning is the process of acquiring new,
or modifying
existing, knowledge, behaviors, skills, value
s, or preferences. The ability to learn is
possessed by humans, animals, and
some machines.
 Step-by-step process in which an
individual experiences permanent, lasting
changes in knowledge, behaviors, or ways
of processing the world
