Persuasive Essay Highschool
Imagine spending seven hours in a silent, colorless building for the next four years of your life. That's how some high schools are who don't offer the
arts programs we take for granted everyday. Performing arts, fine arts, and visual arts deserve to be a required piece of highschool because It
motivates both special education and regular students, It reduces stress and anxiety, and it creates quality students and schools.
The arts deserve to be a required part of highschool because it motivates both regular and special education students. It allows them to be creative and
not always need a defined answer. Fine arts help these students to use their imagination and create things they can use to aid them in school. Performing
arts helps these

Persuasive Essay On High School Field Trips
Field trips are a good way to spend the school districts money because it gives time for students to get a break from school work and tests. Students
get to learn new things by going to field trips. Some field trips help the students understand better the subject they are learning about. When the
school takes you to a field trip for your history class to a museum you get to learn more about the past and the things that people we didn't know have
been through in a way that we don't just take notes. When younger students hear about going to a field trip they get excited because they get to go see
new things about science and history that they don't really learn about. For the highschool students most field trips are usually about see colleges. This
gives the students a chance to see what there choices are before becoming a senior or if they are seniors to help them make a right decision once they
got the information on the schools they are more interested in going to or planning to go to.
Yes it might be a little more work for the teachers to figure out transportation and get accepted to the place they want to go. It does take time from
the teacher doing there own work but it gives students and teachers to see what they are teaching or learning by seeing it by real or explained pictures
of what happened and what the people back then might have discovered. It might be more money for the district to spend but it is for educational
reasons. Instead of the district spending it on things they might not need. Field trips to go see colleges gives a better understanding and input of the
things or classes that the students will need for the career field they are thinking of doing. Ramao states, "Fourth and fifth graders should see colleges
and universities, middle school students are meant to learn more about art or science on their trips and highschool students should visit places that teach
them about their academy's area of focus"(Lillian Monegeau) .
In middle school I had field trips to colleges and to go see art performances. I was very excited to see how people express feelings or situations through
dance. It was a fun experience I had. Going to see colleges in eighth grade and sixth grade gave me a

Persuasive Essay For High School
Junior and senior year of high school felt like I was being told to tie my shoes with my toes. It was easily the most stress I have, and will ever feel, in
my life.
It is real great in theory, but whoever developed the college system to be the way that it is must've been extremely close–minded. Coming from a
low–income household the expectations of high school students are blatantly unrealistic.
When you boil it all down and look at what is happening, it's absurd. Besides the fact that we are asking 18–year–old children to pay upwards of
SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS a year, take out loans that will follow them for the rest of their life, and decide what they will do for the rest of their
life. Any kid from a low–class family is doomed from the start.
What's next? Are we going to start asking our 10–year–olds which retirement home they want?
Any kid in a family with little money has heard, "Do well in school and you'll get a scholarship, it will be fine". Easy for you to say. But unless you
are in that position you do not have any idea what it feels like to have a million things expected of you and the rest of your life depending on it. Not to
mention, college did not cost $60,000 when our parents went to school.
Regardless of the ludicrous cost of college, how are lower class students expected to out preform everyone in their school and get a scholarship when
they are at such a disadvantage within the system from the very start?
My entire high school career I felt like I was

Persuasive Letter For High School
First of all I would like to introduce myself, I'm Matthew Jurczykowski. And I Am currently in the 8th grade. Speaking of 8th grade this letter is
one of our projects the goal is to write someone only a persuasive letter asking for someone to do something for you. So to push the letter forth, the
thing I will be asking for is the ability to go on a cab ride in a Diesel locomotive on one of my next visits. I know this a large wish but I have a passion
for railroading and it would be a great experience.
Since I find railroading operations interesting I play this highly physics and operations based train simulator called run8. Part of the game is where you
can play on multiplayer and simulate prototypical operations with other people on a multiplayer

Persuasive Essay About High School
Starting school when you're four years old changes tremendously to when you're seventeen or eighteen. There are a few things about school that remain
the same, but many more changes are made throughout the years. Gradually homework gets harder and more complex, teachers change, different
activities are added, and much more. Elementary is just the base of what your life will be like in the future. High School prepares you more for the rest
of your life and is when you individually get to have options and decisions to make. Elementary school consists of learning vocabulary (words),
making friends, basic math, and playing outside for recess. The classes you take in Elementary are mandatory. You have to take Math, Science,
Language Arts, P.E., Music, Social Studies, Art, and Reading without have a choice on which class to take. There are no complex levels of
classes that you can take. Everyone is in the same class and it's usually with the same teacher. For example, your third grade teacher would teach
all your classes to you and you would stay in the same room for almost the whole day besides for Art, Music, and P.E. There are normally three
teachers for each grade which means your entire grade would be split up into three groups and those are the groups you'll be with the whole year.
Recess and lunch was the only times you could see your other friends that are in your grade. Everyone in first through sixth grade do not have any
classes together, it is strictly grade by

The first thoughts that come to my mind when I think of summer is socializing with friends and being with my family, and going to the pool and
beach a lot over the summer with them. What i'm looking forward to the most is to do more activities that I couldn't do within the school year. I will
have more time to focus on all my sports in summer than during the school year with all the homework I had to do. The three places that I would like
to go to over the summer is the pool and the beach because the weather is nice and hot and gives a cool breeze and the water is nice and cool so it's
just perfect. I would also like to visit my cousins out of state, I only see them about once a year because they live far and we never have a long period of

will be friends with you all through high school. Do not do cross country, you are miserable throughout the season, and you have no friends with you

In high school their is many great clubs that you can join. Don't be scared to join one they are all great for many reasons. Join the club that is right

another club just try to get involved with your school clubs.

Persuasive Essay On Attending High School
The next chapter in many people's lives is moving away from their hometown and attending college. What people don't yet understand is the major
differences between college and high school. Another idea that is not thought of, are they prepared to handle the difficulties and challenges that go
forth in earning their desired degree? Attending college is only for people who are willing to take on this challenge.
In high school, it is illegal to be truant and classroom attendance is required to graduate so, the only responsibility that a student has is to arrive at
school on time. Since attendance is required, it is easy to get into a routine that stays constant over four years. All that is needed is to show up to the
first class of the day and all classes are set up for the rest of the day. In class, teachers usually hand out assignments regularly and tell their students the
due dates of each assignment. Some teachers even go ahead and have any assignments that are due posted in their classroom to remind students every
day. The only responsibility that the high school student has is to look at the white board and remind themselves that they might have an assignment to
do that night at home. Once they go home after a day at school, students will have the help of their parents or guardians to ask if they have homework
that night. Parents are an enormous help when it comes to high school. Students have the responsibility from their parents to help them be reminded
constantly of upcoming events and due dates.
The work load that also comes from high school is, what most would call, minimal compared to a college setting. Classes in high school are a year
long term and each section of each course is drawn out. For example, a class could take two weeks to complete one chapter. This allows teachers to
explain the material in detail and give out worksheets that contain small portions of one chapter. Most of these worksheets can be completed in class
allowing students to not have any work outside of the class room. What this creates is a workload that is very simple to maintain and allow students to
worry less about working at home.
In most college classrooms, the instructor does not take attendance. Their mindset is that

Persuasive Essay On Graduating High School
"Almost every successful person begins with two beliefs: the future can be better than the present and I have the power to make it so" (Pintrest). This
is referring to life in general, but specifically high school. Graduating high school opens up so many pathways that just dropping out or may or may not
getting your GED. Students should graduate high school on the account that it gives better job opportunities, exceptional life quality and less
criminal activity. To make money in our society you need a job, but the difference in your amount of your paycheck or the fact if you get one at all is
having your high diploma or not. According to Frontline, "The average dropout can expect to earn an annual average income of $20,241. Thats a full
$10,386 less than a typical high school graduate –––." The fact of sticking around and passing your classes for 4 years, that you don't have to pay for,
this gives you a $10,386 for doing so, unlike if you'd drop out. Also from the same source, "While the national unemployment rate stood cut of 8.1
percent in August, joblessness among those without a high school diploma measured 12 percent." If put into perspective, every 12 out of 100 people
would be jobless, while differently every four out of 100 people with their high school diploma would be jobless. Based on this information,
having your high school diploma gives you a nine percent more chance to be employed, but also a $10, 386 advantage than a dropout. Most
everybody wants a family of their own, a well off job to able to support themselves and to have a happy life. If you drop out of high school it can
actually diminish your chances of this. "High school graduates are less likely than high school dropouts to be unemployed, live in poverty, have
poor health or have children who will also live in poverty" (Grad Nation). Saying that when/if you drop of high school you didn't only hinder
yourself a good life but your children too. Also stated in Grad Nation, "A high school graduate makes at least half a million dollars more in a lifetime
earnings than a dropout and is three times less likely to live in poverty." By graduating you avoid a greater chance of living in poverty, which means
avoiding being

High School: In the Mind of a Student
Although the earth is populated by different races, religions, or genders, there is one thing that everyone has in common: school. School systems are
the same everywhere, even if one doesn't live in the same county. It doesn't matter if one goes to school in California, Florida, or even Mississippi;
there will always be freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in all the high schools across the country. I am a senior in high school, so I know what
it's like to be all four. Everyone knows that there are four types of students in high school. I'm graduating in a couple of months, so I have the
privilege to tell my story. Let's go on a trip through memory lane of all my four years in high school. Freshman...show more content...
Even though this year may be rumored to be a relaxing year, it's actually a whole new level of stress. Not only do I have to worry about college
applications and scholarship, but I also has to deal with senioritis. Senioritis is a cancer that starts to spread as the year progresses. Because of
senioritis, I keep asking myself, "How long until I graduate? Why am I still even here? Why am I doing this work?" Sadly, this is the last year to do
anything. All one has left are prom, recollection, universal, and graduation. The moment you walk across that stage, all that is left of high school are

Stay in School, Persuasive Essay
To make good money as an adult, you must have a good job. To have a good job, you must get a good education and go to college. To go to college,
you have to go to high school and elementary school. If you drop out or don't go to school at all, you'll go nowhere. Life today, money is everything,
and I think that the foundation of getting a good job is the education you get in the first 20–25 years of your life. School does not only teach subjects
like English, Math, History, or Science, but it also lets us meet new people and build good character. Stay in school, because it will help you meet new
people, build good character, and will also get you to a job that you will love. A lot of jobs in today's society require you to talk to...show more content...
To become trustworthy, you have to work your way up to become trusted by your classmates and/or close friends. If you are good at keeping
secrets, that's one way to know you are trustworthy. But this does not show your employer that you are trustworthy. It's just something that you
can tell your employer to show something about yourself that you are trustworthy. Also, some jobs require resumes in their applications. If you
have been fired in a previous job because of stealing money or just being lazy, other jobs your try to apply for will be hard because they won't be
able to trust you. That's why staying at a good school will help you build the trustworthy, responsible character you'll need to find a job you love.
Loving what you do is something really important because it is something you have to go through until you retire when you're around 65 years
old. It will really be hard to work in a job for over 30 years if you don't enjoy it. For example, if you don't get paid as much as you want and you also
don't enjoy what you do, it could be because of the choices you made in school. If you want what's best for yourself that you know you love and
you are good at, you should take advantage of the education you have before you graduate college. For example, if you know you are good at
biology, and you think it is interesting, going towards the medical field and being a doctor might be the best option for you. If you are good and love
biology but you

Middle School Persuasive Essay
Middle school. Clusters of kids standing in the middle of the hallway acting like blocked off signs you would see during construction on the highway.
Random conversations fill the air, as you acquire tiny fragments of a different person's conversation each time you pass by. It seems scary, but it's quite
the adventure. Middle school and High school can be really hard for kids, and for some it comes really easy for. Some kids don't know who they are
yet, and are trying to discover who they're meant to be. That's why one word of advice I would give to any Middle–schooler or High–schooler would
to be to "Find your purpose, and stay with it." We all have our own destinies. Whether it's God's future planned for you, or your dreamt future.

Persuasive Essay On High And Middle School
The start times for High and Middle school should be switched with the upper and primary. The times should be switched for the following 3
reasons. First, high schoolers need more sleep.Second, younger kids go to bed earlier than teens so they can wake up earlier. Last but not least, the
high will have fewer tardies first block. High schoolers need more sleep than the younger kids. Mainly because a majority of kids are not fully awake
first block and just half do all their work. Also younger kids don't need as much sleep they are always hipper and they take naps after school or even
during school.
There are reasons kids should start later than high school students. The main reason is because that many parents half to be at work at 8,

Persuasive Essay For High School
Welcome to high school, the "best" 4 years of his life, her youngin days, his rebellious days, her future. Starting high school is the biggest
accomplishment for any middle schooler or so what they think. Now high school does have nice perks, to impact students for the future. That then
leads them to what's next, college. Welcome to college, the 4 years to be "life changing" towards an exponential future. College is the freedom
you've been waiting on, the parties you've been dying to attend, yet also the time to prepare for the working field. College shows whether you're a
procrastinator or not. Will work be submitted on time? Will debt catch up due to failing grades? Or will reality hit their college life hard? When inhigh
school, students would feel that some strictened rules are not called for. While on the other hand, college is more lenient toward the students. Not to
say that all college students are just frat sororities and drunks, they just have a new level of freedom. Let's start with high school, the first year as a
freshman can come off a little lenient. Although as they progress and slowly become an upperclassman, high school will become harder. Because it's
now appearing that the last years of holding hands with teachers is approaching. There's no other way to prepare them than to become a little tougher
towards them. It could be very hard to adapt to such rules as rebellious teenagers, but at the end of the day you're learning and growing. Students believe

Dear Editor,
High School is a very difficult and confusing time for most teenagers. Trying to balance schoolwork, family, social life, sports, etc., is very tricky. But
learning to balance all of those things is what makes high school important. It sets the students up for life after high school. It teaches students very
important life lessons that they will hopefully take into their lives after high school. High school is about turning into a well rounded person by doing
well in school as well as balancing the time for other activities. That is why I agree{{remove I statements}} that in order to take place in after school
activities, the students must achieve a B average or above; because students should learn to be well–rounded while still...show more content...
In school students getting good grades will help them get into better colleges. Yes, colleges do look for well–rounded students, but the first things that
colleges look at are the gpa and standardized test scores. The colleges look at those things to see how well students learn and adapt to each class.
Colleges know that each teacher has their own style of teaching, and each student has their own way of learning the material. So, the college wants to
see if the student can adjust to each teacher and learn that material. If the student is able to adjust to the teacher and succeed in the class, the higher
the grades will be. The higher the grades are, the better the chance of getting into a nicer college. If students get into a better college, there are more
opportunities at hand, more opportunities for the student to succeed. Students should always follow their passions but in reality, only seven percent of
high school athletes move on to college athletics. And, only two percent of all high school athletes go on to play in Division I athletics (Scholarship
Stats). To conclude, students should uphold a B average or better to participate in after school activities because the better grades one has, the more
opportunities they get from colleges. School and grades opens more doors than any after school club.{{well–supported

Persuasive Essay Highschool

  • 1. Persuasive Essay Highschool Imagine spending seven hours in a silent, colorless building for the next four years of your life. That's how some high schools are who don't offer the arts programs we take for granted everyday. Performing arts, fine arts, and visual arts deserve to be a required piece of highschool because It motivates both special education and regular students, It reduces stress and anxiety, and it creates quality students and schools. The arts deserve to be a required part of highschool because it motivates both regular and special education students. It allows them to be creative and not always need a defined answer. Fine arts help these students to use their imagination and create things they can use to aid them in school. Performing arts helps these Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Persuasive Essay On High School Field Trips Field trips are a good way to spend the school districts money because it gives time for students to get a break from school work and tests. Students get to learn new things by going to field trips. Some field trips help the students understand better the subject they are learning about. When the school takes you to a field trip for your history class to a museum you get to learn more about the past and the things that people we didn't know have been through in a way that we don't just take notes. When younger students hear about going to a field trip they get excited because they get to go see new things about science and history that they don't really learn about. For the highschool students most field trips are usually about see colleges. This gives the students a chance to see what there choices are before becoming a senior or if they are seniors to help them make a right decision once they got the information on the schools they are more interested in going to or planning to go to. Yes it might be a little more work for the teachers to figure out transportation and get accepted to the place they want to go. It does take time from the teacher doing there own work but it gives students and teachers to see what they are teaching or learning by seeing it by real or explained pictures of what happened and what the people back then might have discovered. It might be more money for the district to spend but it is for educational reasons. Instead of the district spending it on things they might not need. Field trips to go see colleges gives a better understanding and input of the things or classes that the students will need for the career field they are thinking of doing. Ramao states, "Fourth and fifth graders should see colleges and universities, middle school students are meant to learn more about art or science on their trips and highschool students should visit places that teach them about their academy's area of focus"(Lillian Monegeau) . In middle school I had field trips to colleges and to go see art performances. I was very excited to see how people express feelings or situations through dance. It was a fun experience I had. Going to see colleges in eighth grade and sixth grade gave me a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Persuasive Essay For High School Junior and senior year of high school felt like I was being told to tie my shoes with my toes. It was easily the most stress I have, and will ever feel, in my life. It is real great in theory, but whoever developed the college system to be the way that it is must've been extremely close–minded. Coming from a low–income household the expectations of high school students are blatantly unrealistic. When you boil it all down and look at what is happening, it's absurd. Besides the fact that we are asking 18–year–old children to pay upwards of SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS a year, take out loans that will follow them for the rest of their life, and decide what they will do for the rest of their life. Any kid from a low–class family is doomed from the start. What's next? Are we going to start asking our 10–year–olds which retirement home they want? Any kid in a family with little money has heard, "Do well in school and you'll get a scholarship, it will be fine". Easy for you to say. But unless you are in that position you do not have any idea what it feels like to have a million things expected of you and the rest of your life depending on it. Not to mention, college did not cost $60,000 when our parents went to school. Regardless of the ludicrous cost of college, how are lower class students expected to out preform everyone in their school and get a scholarship when they are at such a disadvantage within the system from the very start? My entire high school career I felt like I was Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. Persuasive Letter For High School First of all I would like to introduce myself, I'm Matthew Jurczykowski. And I Am currently in the 8th grade. Speaking of 8th grade this letter is one of our projects the goal is to write someone only a persuasive letter asking for someone to do something for you. So to push the letter forth, the thing I will be asking for is the ability to go on a cab ride in a Diesel locomotive on one of my next visits. I know this a large wish but I have a passion for railroading and it would be a great experience. Since I find railroading operations interesting I play this highly physics and operations based train simulator called run8. Part of the game is where you can play on multiplayer and simulate prototypical operations with other people on a multiplayer Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Persuasive Essay About High School Starting school when you're four years old changes tremendously to when you're seventeen or eighteen. There are a few things about school that remain the same, but many more changes are made throughout the years. Gradually homework gets harder and more complex, teachers change, different activities are added, and much more. Elementary is just the base of what your life will be like in the future. High School prepares you more for the rest of your life and is when you individually get to have options and decisions to make. Elementary school consists of learning vocabulary (words), making friends, basic math, and playing outside for recess. The classes you take in Elementary are mandatory. You have to take Math, Science, Language Arts, P.E., Music, Social Studies, Art, and Reading without have a choice on which class to take. There are no complex levels of classes that you can take. Everyone is in the same class and it's usually with the same teacher. For example, your third grade teacher would teach all your classes to you and you would stay in the same room for almost the whole day besides for Art, Music, and P.E. There are normally three teachers for each grade which means your entire grade would be split up into three groups and those are the groups you'll be with the whole year. Recess and lunch was the only times you could see your other friends that are in your grade. Everyone in first through sixth grade do not have any classes together, it is strictly grade by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Persuasive Essay Over High School The first thoughts that come to my mind when I think of summer is socializing with friends and being with my family, and going to the pool and beach a lot over the summer with them. What i'm looking forward to the most is to do more activities that I couldn't do within the school year. I will have more time to focus on all my sports in summer than during the school year with all the homework I had to do. The three places that I would like to go to over the summer is the pool and the beach because the weather is nice and hot and gives a cool breeze and the water is nice and cool so it's just perfect. I would also like to visit my cousins out of state, I only see them about once a year because they live far and we never have a long period of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. High School Persuasive You sister is now a freshman in high school and you are still a middle schooler. Do not be jealous of her, high school isn't all it seems to be. It is not like High School Musical, do not get your hopes up. Your friends you have now aren't the friends you have now. You meet them in 7th grade and they will be friends with you all through high school. Do not do cross country, you are miserable throughout the season, and you have no friends with you to run with. You should go out for volleyball instead. Stick to it because you are decent at it, and it is better than sitting at home and doing nothing. Don't let not having a boyfriend get you down, because it's not that bad. At your freshman formal during the first slow song a senior boy will Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Persuasive Essay Sample Miah Hardy Platform: My Sister's Keeper Purpose: As an incoming freshman at Spelman College, I was excited to experience the unity and sense of community here on campus. I made my platform in order to reaffirm the fact that we are all sisters and that we need to build each other up and not break each other down. For some, it is a hard concept to grasp as they come from competitive high schools where they had to defend themselves as the "smart girl". Here at Spelman College, we are all intelligent young ladies who are ready and willing to be by our sister's side. As Co–Social Chair, I plan on creating innovative activities for the first year students in order to promote unity within the first year class and to assist in the difficult challenge of transitioning from high school to college. • 10. Persuasive Speech About High School It's a new grade and a new year. You might be nervous coming into high school as a freshman or as a new student but don't be. High school will be one of the greatest parts of your life along with college. So kick back and enjoy it because time flies and your senior year will come up on you fast and you will be graduating. When you graduate from the junior high or middle school you are so excited to be in the high school also might be a little nervous but don't be. Reasons you might be nervous is that you might be scared of what the "Upper–Class–Men", might think about you but don't be. You shouldn't care what anybody thinks of you, are your own person. Be yourself in high school don't let any body change who you want to be in your future. In high school their is many great clubs that you can join. Don't be scared to join one they are all great for many reasons. Join the club that is right for you. If one of your friends joins a different club that you dont like dont join it for them. Join the club that you want you will make many and lose many friends in your high school years. So go join a club and try it out if you don't like it after all then you can leave if you want to. Then go join another club just try to get involved with your school clubs. Sports is a big part of many teenagers in high school nowadays. Schools offer many different types of school so join a sport. If you never played that sport that you want to do, go join the team. Joining a high school team is a great part of high school. You make so many memories while be part of a team. From going to games that may be away and taking that long bus ride could be a great time after all. Nothing beats then being in a game with your friends and just knowing that you are going to win. You win that game because you decided to join that sport and when you joined that sport you put your heart into it on being the best player or person that you can be. Being the best person you can be helped that team and that makes the team all better. That's why you know you're going to win the game because you put all the hard work in. Don't be scared to join a sport. If that sport isn't for you after all, either finish the season out tough Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Persuasive Essay On Attending High School The next chapter in many people's lives is moving away from their hometown and attending college. What people don't yet understand is the major differences between college and high school. Another idea that is not thought of, are they prepared to handle the difficulties and challenges that go forth in earning their desired degree? Attending college is only for people who are willing to take on this challenge. In high school, it is illegal to be truant and classroom attendance is required to graduate so, the only responsibility that a student has is to arrive at school on time. Since attendance is required, it is easy to get into a routine that stays constant over four years. All that is needed is to show up to the first class of the day and all classes are set up for the rest of the day. In class, teachers usually hand out assignments regularly and tell their students the due dates of each assignment. Some teachers even go ahead and have any assignments that are due posted in their classroom to remind students every day. The only responsibility that the high school student has is to look at the white board and remind themselves that they might have an assignment to do that night at home. Once they go home after a day at school, students will have the help of their parents or guardians to ask if they have homework that night. Parents are an enormous help when it comes to high school. Students have the responsibility from their parents to help them be reminded constantly of upcoming events and due dates. The work load that also comes from high school is, what most would call, minimal compared to a college setting. Classes in high school are a year long term and each section of each course is drawn out. For example, a class could take two weeks to complete one chapter. This allows teachers to explain the material in detail and give out worksheets that contain small portions of one chapter. Most of these worksheets can be completed in class allowing students to not have any work outside of the class room. What this creates is a workload that is very simple to maintain and allow students to worry less about working at home. In most college classrooms, the instructor does not take attendance. Their mindset is that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Persuasive Essay On Graduating High School "Almost every successful person begins with two beliefs: the future can be better than the present and I have the power to make it so" (Pintrest). This is referring to life in general, but specifically high school. Graduating high school opens up so many pathways that just dropping out or may or may not getting your GED. Students should graduate high school on the account that it gives better job opportunities, exceptional life quality and less criminal activity. To make money in our society you need a job, but the difference in your amount of your paycheck or the fact if you get one at all is having your high diploma or not. According to Frontline, "The average dropout can expect to earn an annual average income of $20,241. Thats a full $10,386 less than a typical high school graduate –––." The fact of sticking around and passing your classes for 4 years, that you don't have to pay for, this gives you a $10,386 for doing so, unlike if you'd drop out. Also from the same source, "While the national unemployment rate stood cut of 8.1 percent in August, joblessness among those without a high school diploma measured 12 percent." If put into perspective, every 12 out of 100 people would be jobless, while differently every four out of 100 people with their high school diploma would be jobless. Based on this information, having your high school diploma gives you a nine percent more chance to be employed, but also a $10, 386 advantage than a dropout. Most everybody wants a family of their own, a well off job to able to support themselves and to have a happy life. If you drop out of high school it can actually diminish your chances of this. "High school graduates are less likely than high school dropouts to be unemployed, live in poverty, have poor health or have children who will also live in poverty" (Grad Nation). Saying that when/if you drop of high school you didn't only hinder yourself a good life but your children too. Also stated in Grad Nation, "A high school graduate makes at least half a million dollars more in a lifetime earnings than a dropout and is three times less likely to live in poverty." By graduating you avoid a greater chance of living in poverty, which means avoiding being Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Persuasive Essay High School High School: In the Mind of a Student Although the earth is populated by different races, religions, or genders, there is one thing that everyone has in common: school. School systems are the same everywhere, even if one doesn't live in the same county. It doesn't matter if one goes to school in California, Florida, or even Mississippi; there will always be freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in all the high schools across the country. I am a senior in high school, so I know what it's like to be all four. Everyone knows that there are four types of students in high school. I'm graduating in a couple of months, so I have the privilege to tell my story. Let's go on a trip through memory lane of all my four years in high school. Freshman...show more content... Even though this year may be rumored to be a relaxing year, it's actually a whole new level of stress. Not only do I have to worry about college applications and scholarship, but I also has to deal with senioritis. Senioritis is a cancer that starts to spread as the year progresses. Because of senioritis, I keep asking myself, "How long until I graduate? Why am I still even here? Why am I doing this work?" Sadly, this is the last year to do anything. All one has left are prom, recollection, universal, and graduation. The moment you walk across that stage, all that is left of high school are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Stay in School, Persuasive Essay To make good money as an adult, you must have a good job. To have a good job, you must get a good education and go to college. To go to college, you have to go to high school and elementary school. If you drop out or don't go to school at all, you'll go nowhere. Life today, money is everything, and I think that the foundation of getting a good job is the education you get in the first 20–25 years of your life. School does not only teach subjects like English, Math, History, or Science, but it also lets us meet new people and build good character. Stay in school, because it will help you meet new people, build good character, and will also get you to a job that you will love. A lot of jobs in today's society require you to talk to...show more content... To become trustworthy, you have to work your way up to become trusted by your classmates and/or close friends. If you are good at keeping secrets, that's one way to know you are trustworthy. But this does not show your employer that you are trustworthy. It's just something that you can tell your employer to show something about yourself that you are trustworthy. Also, some jobs require resumes in their applications. If you have been fired in a previous job because of stealing money or just being lazy, other jobs your try to apply for will be hard because they won't be able to trust you. That's why staying at a good school will help you build the trustworthy, responsible character you'll need to find a job you love. Loving what you do is something really important because it is something you have to go through until you retire when you're around 65 years old. It will really be hard to work in a job for over 30 years if you don't enjoy it. Will work be submitted on time? Will debt catch up due to failing grades? Or will reality hit their college life hard? When inhigh school, students would feel that some strictened rules are not called for. While on the other hand, college is more lenient toward the students. Not to say that all college students are just frat sororities and drunks, they just have a new level of freedom. But learning to balance all of those things is what makes high school important. It sets the students up for life after high school. It teaches students very important life lessons that they will hopefully take into their lives after high school. High school is about turning into a well rounded person by doing well in school as well as balancing the time for other activities. In school students getting good grades will help them get into better colleges. Yes, colleges do look for well–rounded students, but the first things that colleges look at are the gpa and standardized test scores. The colleges look at those things to see how well students learn and adapt to each class. Colleges know that each teacher has their own style of teaching, and each student has their own way of learning the material. If the student is able to adjust to the teacher and succeed in the class, the higher the grades will be. The higher the grades are, the better the chance of getting into a nicer college. If students get into a better college, there are more opportunities at hand, more opportunities for the student to succeed. Students should always follow their passions but in reality, only seven percent of high school athletes move on to college athletics. And, only two percent of all high school athletes go on to play in Division I athletics (Scholarship Stats). To conclude, students should uphold a B average or better to participate in after school activities because the better grades one has, the more opportunities they get from colleges. School and grades opens more doors than any after school club.{{well–supported Get more content on HelpWriting.net
