Solutions
Rapid prototyping
Before Original Ltd products are signed off
for production, prototype resin models are
prepared using the company’s in-house rapid
prototyping (RP) machine.
Prototype models enable each design to be
verified within a short time frame on the actual
vehicle. The design is checked to the required
specification and the model proved ready for
production.
Casting accuracy
Original Ltd FEAD mount kits are based
around precision engineered castings - a
technically superior process than fabricated
alternatives. This enables manufacturing
consistency and repeatability meeting the
requirements of ISO belt drive standards.
Kits are designed and engineered to
vehicle manufacturer specifications and
parameters using the same CAD systems and
methodologies, resulting in close technical
synergies and development co-operation.
The castings are designed and built to be
robust, with optimal strength and stiffness,
delivering high levels of performance and a
long service life.
The kits are easy and quick to install – fit
first time, every time with 100% alignment
- no additional drilling, tapping, cutting or
forming are required.
Applications
Air conditioning
Orignal Ltd can specify and supply the most
suitable compressor along with the specific
FEAD kit for vehicles requiring additional
A/C e.g. minibuses and small coaches where
passenger space requires cooling.
Refrigeration
Original Ltd can specify and supply the most
suitable compressor, along with the specific
FEAD kit, for vehicles requiring refrigeration
e.g. home shopping delivery and catering
vehicles.
Power generation
Original Ltd FEAD mount kits can be supplied
to take an additional alternator to provide
electrical power from the engine. Being
independent of the vehicle’s electrical system,
the need for mobile generators is avoided.
Warranty
Original Ltd FEAD castings carry a lifetime
warranty. All serviceable parts carry either a
12 month warranty or the specified service
mileage - whichever comes first.

Delivering immediate, on-
demand compressed air
The Original VR70 system delivers immediate,
on-demand compressed air. With the
vehicle engine at operating temperature,
press the button and within seconds the
Original VR70 is ready to deliver up to 2.0m³/
min, 70 cfm, 12 bar, or 175 psi. Factory-set,
built-in controls match the vehicle’s rpm
to specific requirements to ensure smooth
and economic operation, with reduced fuel
consumption and noise level.
Integrated with the vehicle
The Original VR70 is totally integrated
within the vehicle space envelope; It does
not compromise the drive-train, chassis or
payload area. There are no ground clearance
restrictions and minimal impact on vehicle
payload.
