16. Compliance to Standards and By Law:
Compliance to building codes and construction requirements is governed by country or state
regulation and it is important that these guidelines are adhered to.
The construction of the Auto-Park Systems car park must be undertaken to the minimum standards
as given by Auto-Park Systems Ltd. This outlines the requirements in the architectural drawings,
structural steel fabrication, module setup, placement of equipment and garages and specifications of
other internal components like motors, cell tracks, etc.
Structural engineering elements will be designed in accordance to comply with Malaysia’s
requirements, JGT Auto Park will work with the appointed structural engineering entity to ensure
compliance is achieved.
Consultation with the appointed traffic management planning entity will be undertaken to ensure
the solution integrates with existing traffic management practices.
Fire suppression systems must be implemented in accordance with local government requirements,
if there are no existing government requirements, JGT Auto Park would recommend the solution
designed by the Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade in Melbourne Australia.
17. How the Auto-Park System Ensures a Reliable
and Cost Effective Solution:
• Electric motors are easily replaced with simple training with ‘bolt on - bolt off technology’.
• Conveyor tracks can be replaced in as little as 20 minutes by one serviceman.
• In the unlikely event that a fault should develop within a car park, the faulty cell can simply be
isolated while the rest of the system continues to operate.
• Spare parts for almost every contingency are supplied and kept on site.
• We stand by our product. Auto-Park offer a standard two year maintenance free policy to
provide the for the Parking Project. Extended warranty options are available.
• A service plan tailored to the requirements of the facility will be put in place and during this
period will provide training for your own servicemen /contractors.
• Back up Power Generator is a standard feature of our system.

efficiencies. The Cyclodrive gearboxes have a reputation for longevity and are among the most efficient
gearboxes available.

• Auto-Park has a horizontal travel speed up to
.63 m/sec
• Each Traverser is capable of 56 vph
• This gives the total system a capacity to handle
112 vph
• The Auto-Park system parking time is an
average of 66 seconds based on a 100 cell
parking system
• The Auto-Park system retrieval time is an
average of 66 seconds based on a 100 cell
parking system
Estimating total times for parking the following
assumptions are made :
• Time to park and exit a vehicle: 30 seconds
• Time to get in a vehicle and exit: 10 seconds
• Auto-Park has a maximum retrieval time of 149
seconds
• Auto-Park has a minimum retrieval time of 66 seconds
• The average parking entry time is 111 seconds. This is
the total cycle time from when the patron drives in to
when the vehicle is parked.
• Average retrieval time is 115 seconds. Again this is
total cycle time from when the patron activates the
system to when he has driven out the garage door.

20. Backup Systems in event of Faults:

noted, the motor is swapped out before failure occurs
