1. Motifs in my Music Video
In my music video there are symbols that are repeated that could be included in my ancillary
products to enhance the connection between them. For example:

thenthe linkwouldbe clearandthe consumerwouldrecognisethese associations. Althoughitisthe
mainfocusof the narrative I won’tinclude itinmydigipakdue toit notrepresentingthe message I
wantto depict.
Seagulls
2. I chose to include seagullsdue tothe strongconnectiontothe artistwhichcouldact as an Easteregg
for fans.Despite havingahighassociationwiththe artistandthe musicvideoIdon’twantto
overproduce thisasmore consumerswill becomeaware anditwouldlose itsexclusivity.
Beach Huts
3. Beach hutsappearfrequentlyduringthe segmantswiththe artist.Ifeel thatthisisveryimportant
due to it beingassociatedwiththe artistratherthanthe girl.Althoughthe girl isimportantforthe
musicvideoIfeel thatshe isn’trelevantforthe ancillaryproductsdue tonoconnectionbetweenthe
artistand the girl.She representsthe songmore thanthe album.
Guitar
The guitar isstronglyassociatedwiththe singer/songwritergenre and Matthew P thismeansthatit
isa veryimportantpartof the musicvideo.Yetalthoughitappearsfrequentlyinthe musicvideoI
don’tfeel like itshouldbe includedinthe ancillaryproductsdue toitbeingquite cliché andthere
wouldbe noconnectiontothe musicvideoandthe artist(as there isnopersonal qualitiestothe
guitarmeaningthatnot everybodywill recognise the linkbetweenthe artistandthe guitar).
Although there isastrong emphasisonthe genre Ifeel thatI couldexecute thiscorrectlythrough
othertechniquessuchasfocusingcarefullyoncolouranduse of location(the beachiscalm,
reflectingthe genre)
