work hard capacitates my determination to succeed. Throughout my period of studying and being a
Food Technology in-service trainee and Quality Assurance / Controller, I have developed a
perpetual understanding and passion for the various roles that it plays in our economy. I am

Career profile
In my years of working at Tiger Brands, Snacks & Treats I have acquired skills in:
- Raw Material Inspection, which is to approve incoming raw material and packaging material.
Raw materials are sampled, some tested and stored, and checking that documents of incoming raw
material conform to the company’s specification.
- Quality Control, which is conducting online checks to verify that the processes are under control,
by following a series of formulations and checking with the specifications. The equipment that I
used when conducting these checks are: a refractometer, starch moisture analyser, a microscope
and a texture analysis machine.

2. - Quality Assurance, which is conducted to assure that products leaving the site comply with
company standards / specifications, and that they are packed correctly.
- Ensuring that food safety management system policies and procedures are effectively
implemented, maintained and improved in the factory.
- Ensuring all the good hygiene practices are adhered to.
- Ensuring cleaning and sanitation is effective in the packing area, by conducting surface swabs
every once a week for microbial testing.
- Ensuring all process sheets are completed correctly.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and ISO 22000 & 14001
- Conduct CCP and scale verifications
- On line quality verification of packed products.
