In 2014-2015, the Launch Lawton campaign was directly
involved in recruiting over 616 new jobs with an estimated
total payroll of over $27 million in new payroll for the
community.
Facilitated over $21 million in new capital into Lawton.
Met with over 250 executives and site selectors and
participated in over 14 industry trade shows.
Expanded LED’s web and social media platforms
that have resulted in a dynamic increase of visibility of the
Greater Lawton Region to national and global markets.
Provided two economic research projects that were
designed for the business community. The Economic
Review and Economic Outlook were released during
the LED’s Annual Economic Forecast Luncheon.
Launch Lawton is a dedicated regional initiative
to diversify the economy through job creation and
global
awareness.
The success of Launch Lawton will increase the
quality of life for residents and bring new capital
investment to the greater Lawton region that in-
cludes Elgin, Cache, and all of Comanche County.
The purpose of the campaign is to raise the overall
funding level for economic development and to
escalate the involvement from the private sector in
economic development.
