  3. 3. Dear Salt Lake Chamber Members, It has been a remarkable year for business in Utah. The spirit of collaboration that stands as a hallmark of prosperity in our business community is as strong as ever. Thanks to the exemplary leadership of our Governor and Legislature, as well as the support and advocacy of the Salt Lake Chamber, Utah continues to stand out as a great place to live and do business. As Utah’s largest and longest-serving business association, a strong mission motivates the Salt Lake Chamber to stand as the voice of business, support our member’s success and champion community prosperity. Stand as the Voice of Business In the past year the Salt Lake Chamber demonstrated important leadership on the issues of investing in Utah’s future work force through education, as well as strengthening the backbone of our economy through increased transportation funding – investments that are vital to ensuring economic prosperity. Additionally, the Chamber has provided leadership on a number of other important policy areas, including natural resources, water, outdoor recreation, healthcare and tourism, to name a few. Support our Members’ Success The Chamber continues to be a gathering place for business leaders and the community at large. Through our programs, and those of our partners, the Chamber has directly engaged more than 400,000 business professionals, including our members. The Giant in Our City Award, which was awarded this year to Gail Miller, endures as one of the premiere business events in our state. Champion Community Prosperity The Salt Lake Chamber takes very seriously its role as a champion of community prosperity. Partnerships with the Downtown Alliance and the World Trade Center – Utah, as well as other chambers of commerce throughout the state, are vital as we collaborate in bringing about lasting, positive change. We invite you to review our 2015 annual report. It outlines many of our accomplishments and highlights business and community leadership. If you are a member of the Salt Lake Chamber, thank you for your support in making our success possible. We ask for your continued involvement and collaboration. If you are not a member, now is a great time to join.
