The purpose of this assignment is to:
Be able to use editing commands to modify Orthographic and Isometric Drawings
Scenario
You are working in the CAD office of Enviroplay, who supply toys for young children and make
them using sustainable materials. In the light of changes being considered, the development team
have asked you to produce the updated engineering drawings. You have been passed some
modifications to add the prototype toy train, which require you to update the current orthographic
and isometric drawings that you have already produced. The drawing of the amendment to be
made is shown below together with notes from the development team on the changes to be made.
Task 1
Update your ENVIROPLAY drawings in accordance with the modifications detailed above and save
with new filenames/drawing numbers ENVIROPLAY DRG0005 to 7 to distinguish the modified
drawings from originals. Hidden detail is needed. Major dimensions should be included for
reference using a second drawing layer. Print off A3 copies.

Task 2
You are acting as a host to a student on Work Placement in the company. Make sufficient notes
that enable you to explain to the student, in some detail, the advantages and disadvantages of
using a CAD setup to produce and subsequently modify engineering drawings compared to
traditional drawing methods.
